Hønefoss is my town where I grew up..I reurned now to meet friends from school and others..Grand Hotel was the main town hotel when I grew up in the 60 and 70 ties...The town has got quite new and fine meeting places in the centre prepared now for people,and no car trsffic..And Grand hotel has been upgraded to a good standard...
Breakfast serving was interesting that you must order what you want to eat. It means different combinations and always warm food. There were big halls where guests can relax out of rooms, f.ex., play piano, read books etc. We had fridge in the room. Location of the hotel is close to center. Hotel with history, little bit impression of museum.
The property is exceptionally well kept with beautiful gardens and both outdoor and indoor swimming pools. Breakfast and evening meals are excellent. The rooms are spacious with everything you need provided. I’d gladly recommend this hotel if you’re staying in the area.
