A beautiful hotel undergoing conversion from a military barracks within the castle grounds.
Staff were very helpful and friendly and we ate at the resort in the evening and the food was excellent.
Would recommend and I'm sure will only get better as the conversion completes

It's a nice clean little place with an amazing view of the Glomma river. The Bath is huge and in a big cozy bathroom. Just to chill and hear the sounds of the river was splendid.

PLUS: It is a sort of mobile home, recently renovated I would say. They did a great job and the place really looks very good. It is fully equipped, as advertised, and they even provided coffee, tea, some rice and pasta and some soda drinks for free. Easy check-in with codes received by SMS on arrival's day. The price is very very reasonable (by norwegian standards, at least).
MINUS: There was no internet. The host wrote me last minute to communicate that the provider had removed the old router but would not install the new one until the day of our departure. It sounded like an abnorm coincidence, to be completely honest, and it caused me quite some trouble, as I had planned to do some work in the evening. The toilet is something else that I did not like in the least. I would have preferred the typical "hytta" outdoor toilet.
