This is a wonderful property in a cute town.

This is a wonderful property in a cute town. It’s close to the tulip fields and Keukenhof Gardens. It’s easy to ride bikes from there. The room was very clean, the owners were very helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The Internet was spotty and the stairs were steep, so pack lightly.

    I liked the room.

I liked the room. To me the room was very good and to my standard. I liked the bar and the design of the windows. They bring in more light and you have very good external view. The bathroom was excellent for my preference. There was coffee machine which I really liked. If I have an opportunity of visiting Amsterdam my place of choice is NH. I visited the shopping centre. Everybody welcomed us with friendly face. "This is a village"

Everything about the stay was underwhelming and disappointing: 1. No amenities in the room (no fridge/no minibar/no toiletries like hair conditioner/slippers/water bottles). 2. Poor hygiene - not so clean sheets and the bathroom seemed already used when we first checked in. 3. The location of the property is not good (not easily accessible by any public means of transport, and you need to take a taxi from the closest bus / train stations which can cost anywhere between 22 to 40 EUR depending on the time of the day. If you are driving, then this can be overlooked. 4. No restaurants or convenience stores at a walkable distance, so you are pretty much dependent on the restaurant kitchen which closes at sharp 10, and no options to eat after that until they open again in morning (not even basic soup/salads) 5. The staff were un-courteous and rude, (impolite responses to simple questions on how to go around the place) 6. Check-in/out process was cumbersome as they generally book large tourist / corporate groups which arrive and leave in bulks. So be prepared for a huge queue, with less than efficient staff. To summarize, no value for money - we paid 103 Euros for one night stay, there are way better options available in Amsterdam for 10-15 Euros extra. So my suggestion, if you are a couple / family / group traveling for leisure - don't go for it !!
