The night guard was still there and let us in even though we arrived quite late (after a brutal long bikeride) and even was willing to sell us some of the tasty Rolduc beer. Rooms are simple but good, the vibe is awesome. Feels like a luxury hostel, but that suits the place.

The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The rooms were very comfortable and the location was great for visiting the different Christmas markets in the Maastricht area.
Stayed at Richard's property for one night due to the proximity to the start point of the Dutch Mountain Trail. It is basically a 10 minute walk from Eygelshoven station . Checking in later than described was not a problem at all and I even got provided a microwave to heat my food. Spacious and clean bedroom and bathroom. Communication with Richard was easy and friendly. Thank you for a pleasant stay!
