Fantastic owners, and spoke excellent English, the rooms are better and bigger than the photos show, Breakfast was good, but the main thing for us was the safe and secure garage parking for our 2 motorcycles which was much appreciated.

It seems to be a great location for cycling and walking but we just stay overnight to break up long journeys. Small town full of character - parking is easy - restaurants and hotels are all near one another and some overlook the Maas river. A delightful stop but be aware that the restaurants are open all day but kitchens tend to close by nine o'clock at night although hotel bars stay open until 10. Has a local brewery.

Arcen is a small great, quiet "escape" town to explore this nice part of North Limburg. close to the German border and places like Venlo. The main reason to stay in Arcen is visit the gardens of Castle Arcen. Every season show you a different face with flowers and well kept landscapes.

Brasserie Alt Arce is the place to eat.
Brasserie Alt Arce is the place to eat. No curb-appeal from the road but make your way through to the terrace by the river, even in cooler weather they fire up the log burner.
Try the Yellow-fin Sole.
I've never had room for dessert but it seems some people come in all day long just for their Ice Cream sundaes etc. which look awesome.
It's casual, so dress according to the temperature.
Efficient service.
We had a whole apartment for the price of a hotel room. Access to a lovely garden and the swimming pool. It was peaceful and enjoyable. Access was simple and easy. No parking in front of the house, but a large parking lot just 30? 40? Meters away.
Most welcoming hosts Brigitte and Olav made us feel home immediately. Beautifully and tastefully renovated old farmhouse in the centre of Arcen, done to very high standards. Fantastic breakfast with choice of cheese from their own cheese shop.
Lovely modern hotel, comfy beds, huge rooms, lovely clean shower.
In the foyer there was a bar where we could have a beer in the evening.
The price of the hotel included free access to the Thermalbad.Arcen which we made use of.
Everything was great and Perfect, very Close to Arcen Thermalbad, Gardens, Close to visit Northern Holland, Belgium, Germany. Very comfortably accomodation, great patio and garden, the owners are very helpfull
A quirky hotel in a beatiful little village. We were only here for 1 night and arrived late so didnt use the restaurant or any other facilities. Staff were friendly.
It is in the centre of the town so there was a good choice of restaurants and cafes if you didn't want to eat at the hotel. Very pretty town, lots of charm.
