I highly recommend Sri Sentosa Chalet in Kampung Mukut if you want a peaceful vacation away from the city. It's only 20 minutes walk to mejestic Asah waterfalls and 3 hours hiking/trekking to the mountain nearby the village. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The place is clean, the location of my room is at the beachfront, the room and toilet are wide. I'm very comfortable and will definitely go back to this place👍👍👍😁😁😁

Do your homework, know the place you're staying and which jetty to get off from. Be respectful of the locals and your surroundings, manage your expectation. If you intend to go around (without renting bikes), it will be helpful to have comfortable footwear. Get in touch with the local guides to take you around or better, for a hike to the mountains. Dive, snorkel or even better, take the kayak and explore as much as you can. Take note of the operation hours of the eateries (ask the locals) as mostly open only for specific meal time. Have fun!

We loved this island, the rainforest is amazing with some beautiful waterfalls, cool water to swim and fabulous wildlife.
The beaches are pristine, no rubbish, wide stretches of sand and crystal clear water, great snorkelling with reefs and fishes a plenty.
Food and accommodation is good and reasonably priced .
We walked everywhere and got a taxi to and from the port which was a truck - we stood up in the back and it was great fun. This is one of our favourite islands in the world.

We stayed in Juara beach only.
We stayed in Juara beach only. Nice and relaxing but enough options with snorkelling trips, scuba, hiking, swimming, motorcycle hire, kayaking etc so you don’t get bored.
Some restaurants have very slow service and limited menu but there’s enough good ones like Rimba and Sun Cafe which are both really good.

for a food lover, you able to try the different taste and types of food in the island for example malay food and even western, , with the sea breeze and sea view, the spending might be more expensive than the off island maybe due to the tourist place, but the beach and sand are priceless, you can relax on the beach by doing nothing! Great experience

It's an undiscovered, hidden gem.
It's an undiscovered, hidden gem. The beaches are pristine, the food is great and the snorkeling experience of all the underwater ocean life we saw was unprecedented. It's got waterfalls, cheap beer, sea food, exotic species and great weather and view.
We were picked up from the ferry port (paid service). The staff was friendly. We could book tours and taxi service back to the ferry port. There is nice restaurant with many options. The provided tour itself was great and pretty cheap. The hotel was basically on the beach. The staff notified us of the turtle hatchery close by when they were released in the sea, which was amazing to see.
The staff were friendly. Although it may seem like the room was very noisy near the common area. The guests were considerate they disperse at the stipulated timing. The place is cosy like home and although toilet is shared, it was clean. Hot water was really good. The room was clean and insect free. The bed was really comfy, I had the greatest sleep compared to a five star hotel.
Location was amazing, Beautiful little cove, very clean, very quiet with lots of marine life just off the beach.
Plenty of tours available direct from the hotel at very good value (compared to neighbouring hotels). Free snorkels were provided and flippers were only around £5 for the whole duration of the booking.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
We loved our stay here. Very spacious and clean
rooms with comfy beds. The ladies at the
reception are very friendly and extremely helpful.
The B&J dive center is super professional, good
quality equipment and motivated guides. We did
4 dives and had a fantastic time. Can defiantly
recommend the hotel and the dive centre.
Hope to be back soon!
The hotel has it's own private beach which is really lovely, so much better than staying in one of the main villages.
The staff are mostly very friendly and like to have a chat with you.
The house reef was better than expected, we saw a reef shark, a turtle, tons of fish, 2 rays etc. There are large patches of dead coral though.
The resort made me feel at home. Special thanks to Lydia, Ima, Charlie, Sofia and Wani who were always ready to support us. Everything in this place was so good. Breakfast and the food was simply delicious. The rooms were comfortable. Will surely restay here whenever I am in tioman. Also the excusion package was really professional
The best place to stay at Tioman island. The staff is super friendly, responsive and kind.
The view from your beach chalet is incredible and the amenities are great (hot water and great ac).
The wifi is great and we were even able to take a few zoom calls from here. Thank you and we will be back :)
Such a peaceful place to enjoy a break away from the crowd. It’s the last hotel of Juara and most charming one. The staff was so kind and always eager to help. Food is great, juices are a bliss! Rooms also and very cleaned! Maintenance staff working everyday to keep the garden nice and charming.
View was spectacular from the room. The small beach was great. nice little snorkeling from the beach of the hotel. Rooms are basic but large. A nice jungle hiking path to reach to the restaurants and bars (not easy at night or with young kids)
Dive centre - very patient and friendly instructors, friendly hotel staff, shuttle provided, clean rooms and eco-friendly cleaning option available. Good effort for the environment! Impressive fire performance. Amazing sunset and beach.
Meals are great. Staff very friendly. Room was decent considering it’s a budget hotel, and bathroom in great conditions. Location is a super nice long sandy beach. Nice balcony to chill out watching the sea
The location with our own personal beach and the beautiful chalet with such attention to details, and Eno’s fantastic help and kindness! Genting is very cozy and calm which suited us perfectly.
Beautiful location, not crowded, excellent food, friendly staffs and a very helpful owner. Minang Cove Resort offers all the best of what Tioman can offer in a excellent package.
We stayed here as we wanted to dive, and the dive instructors are excellent. The room is very comfortable. there is excellent snorkeling right in front of the hotel.
Beautiful Hotel and location. The staff was simply incredible! Nicest place we have ever stayed in, the four nights went by too quickly. We would love to come back.
