Food was so so. maybe i went to the wrong places. Need to go back and walk around longer. Oh try Restaurant Soon Lee for seafood and other dishes.

A beautiful and historical towns with lots of things to discover. The food here are nice and very cheap. The well maintained Lake Garden and the hiking trails of Bukit Larut. Most of all, come and experience the warmth and friendliness of the Taiping folks.

Lots of greenery with the lake and park, plus good to hire bicycles even if a little pricy (RM5-20 per 30 mins depending on the type).
Several historical places and an interesting Museum of Perak.
Plenty of places to eat and enjoy local flavours.

It was a foodie trip, so my son and I enjoyed the delectable foods that Taiping town has to offer. We enjoyed the Taiping Gardens which was 3 mins walk from the hotel. We were disappointed was the mushroom farm which was fully booked and could not even accommodate two more persons.

This was my first time in Taiping.
This was my first time in Taiping. It was a very nice medium sized town. My friend and I were there for a wedding and we had a lot of time the evening before to walk around and explore the place. Tasik Taiping is a wonderful public park with food, bicycle rental, walking trails and just lots of no-cost (except the bike rental) things to do. There are also playgrounds for kids. We ate at a nasi kandar place across the street from Tasik Taiping but I forget the name. It was delicious and very popular. Cost was low. We stayed at Novotel and there was a huge fruit market nearby so we got some dessert for the evening. Our time in Taiping was too short and I hope to be able to visit again sometime.

Nice common kitchenette and dining areas for guests to hang out outside the room. Supplies like bottled water, new towels, toilet rolls and cleaning kits are placed in common areas for guest to help themselves. Located superbly within 15min walk to different attractions eg. Taiping Lake, Larut Matang Hawker Center and numerious hipster cafes. Bus terminal is 5min from hotel and there are buses for day trip to K.Sepatang and Pantai Remis.
