Hotel no lift, walk up stair case, we check-in night time, no hairdryer in room, phone called many times finally get to connect to the receptionist to request for a hairdryer. My room next to main road. so it is not so quiet, although request for a quiet room. bed sheet got stain, smell mouldy, aircond remote control spoilt.

A beautiful and historical towns with lots of things to discover. The food here are nice and very cheap. The well maintained Lake Garden and the hiking trails of Bukit Larut. Most of all, come and experience the warmth and friendliness of the Taiping folks.

Lots of greenery with the lake and park, plus good to hire bicycles even if a little pricy (RM5-20 per 30 mins depending on the type).
Several historical places and an interesting Museum of Perak.
Plenty of places to eat and enjoy local flavours.

It was a foodie trip, so my son and I enjoyed the delectable foods that Taiping town has to offer. We enjoyed the Taiping Gardens which was 3 mins walk from the hotel. We were disappointed was the mushroom farm which was fully booked and could not even accommodate two more persons.

This was my first time in Taiping.
This was my first time in Taiping. It was a very nice medium sized town. My friend and I were there for a wedding and we had a lot of time the evening before to walk around and explore the place. Tasik Taiping is a wonderful public park with food, bicycle rental, walking trails and just lots of no-cost (except the bike rental) things to do. There are also playgrounds for kids. We ate at a nasi kandar place across the street from Tasik Taiping but I forget the name. It was delicious and very popular. Cost was low. We stayed at Novotel and there was a huge fruit market nearby so we got some dessert for the evening. Our time in Taiping was too short and I hope to be able to visit again sometime.

A good place to unwind. Ample choice of food selection from hawkers' fare to restaurants.
A great place to walk and sweat it out is Taiping Lake. What it needs is more benches, and toilet facilities.

It is the worst I ever booked due to the location which is...
It is the worst I ever booked due to the location which is just nice for me to travel to visit my friends, 5 minutes drive away. Taiping is a small town, I was happy to get the same hair band for RM2.50 whilst I bought it for RM8.90 in KL. Food is good and cheap and u can't miss the Taiping Lake Garden. U may consider staying opposite AEON mall, good location and a comfortable room where we moved in the next day.
I read a lot complaints about breakfast, it wasn't great but not so bad either considering the price I pay for the room. I'd say it's on par with other hotels with the price range. There's egg station for omelet and sunny egg. We had nasi lemak for first day and nasi tomato for second day, there was other varieties too. Staff were attentive, keep up the good work. Fast check-in and check-out. Love the lake view from the room
We booked 2 rooms (1 room with king size bed & 1 room with 1 queen size bed & 1 single bed). Both rooms were very comfortable and clean. The hotel is strategically located in the centre of Taiping town. There is 7 Eleven next to the hotel, KFC and other restaurants nearby. We like the hotel very much. Unfortunately, there were guests on our floor who were inconsiderate, speaking very loudly at late hours of the night.

to the Taiping Mall and it's centralized location to the Taiping Lake Gardens, Telegaph Museum, Perak Museum, Food and the Bus Terminal (you can just take a short bus trip to the scenic Kuala Sepetang for only RM 2.40 per pax) is very ideal for tourists who wish to cxplore around on foot.
The photos don't do this place justice. The rooms were huge and clean and the hotel is in a great location. It's actually part of Taiping's heritage trail, it's a beautiful building. We really appreciated the water purifier that we could use and the large communal space that we played games in. It was the only hotel we stayed in with shower cubicles as well.

The hotel location is strategic and within walking distance to hotels, malls, bank and restaurants/cafe in Taiping. The hotel looks new and the facilities are well maintained. Drinking water is provided and you’re also allowed to cook. Very reasonable price too!

The location is great.Downstair is hawker center,open until night time.Taiping mall is opposite the hotel.Easy access to Lake Garden &nearby attractions. The price is reasonable,room is clean and spacious.
Excellent room size, comfortable beds, ample pillows, clean bathroom. Not much of a view but it was understandable. Location is spot on middle of town, everything being walking distance from the hotel.
The hotel is as expected, no frills for sleep only. Air-conditioning is great. Cleanliness is acceptable. Location is good, short walk to town. Ample free parking around the hotel.
