Easy access to the town..but the town itself is relatively small
Beautiful and great place to experience. Enjoy the whole trip. We plan to return fit & strong to trek Mount Kinabalu.
Don't miss out. Great place for a family holiday. Don't have to travel to Europe to gain such a fascinating view, Only be mindful, a lot of uphill if u wanna walk around. Great place for retirement if u love trekking n love nature.

Easy to go around Ranau if you have own car. Got many places available for food. If not, you can just go to KFC. The attractive places may be quite far from the town but as I said, its better to rent car and travel on your own sweet time.

Kundasang Ranau is the best place to spend time with family...
Kundasang Ranau is the best place to spend time with family and friends. We can find a spectacular view a long the way. Mesilou Kundasang is my fevourite place. Accomodate with a lot of homestay and a place for sightseing. Early in the morning you can hike to Sosodikon Hill for a better magestic view of Kinabalu Mountain. Later fill your whole day walking around Mesilou. Famous Dairy Farm, D'Mesilou Rabbit Garden , Alpaca Club the newest animal attraction, Mesilou highland Strawberry where you can try the fresh and strawberry and open for dine in. Spring Garden. A sanctuary where flowers bloom all year around and lush of greenery, with a view of mount Kinabalu. At night spent your time at Hooga Cafe. You can try the different dishes(food and drinks) and visit the Kundasang Farmville next to cafe where your kids can play at the playground. My view of opinion, before you plan to visit Kundasang, you need to book homestay early to avoid any circumstances.

Ranau is another choice to stay for the night while doing day activity to Poring Hotspring and the other tourist attractions. There are a few choices for restaurants according to my taste. The temperature drops down in the evening and it feels refreshing. Friendly people and good environment.

The landscape is dominated by Mt Kinabalu, and it's worth...
The landscape is dominated by Mt Kinabalu, and it's worth heading off in different directions to see it from different angles. From the Sabah Tea Garden it is less angled, softer. The walks range between steep and flat; under rainforest canopy or through sunlit tea plantations. We stayed for five days, but wish it had been five weeks. We hired a car which made getting around very easy and allowed us to stop at any time to take photos.

its a very strategic place to stay. because it takes 10minutes to Kundasang n About 40minutes to Kota Kinabalu. for me, its a very comfortable n affordable place to stay. the staff very nice n helpful. n you Will not gonna starving because they have own restaurant which just closed with your Room. n the Room very unique. no need fan @ air-cond Bcoz you will cold 24hrs. 😂😂 Im very satisfy staying here. n i Will stay here Next Tym. Tq for the very good service.
I had a wonderful stay. The room was simple but clean and quiet. I had everything that I needed. The unobstructed view was magnificent, the valley and mountain Kinabalu. The best of all was the kindness of the owners. They invited me to their family dinner, drove me to places where I needed to go. All this kindness exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend D’Terrace Kundasang!
The spacious balcony with the seating area, sink and some dishes to prepare your own coffee/instant noodles or some fruit is really nice. Fantastic view to the mountains, loads of birds around.
Location is quiet, although close to the town center, so nice for people who don't have an own vehicle.

The homestay is clean. The room is quite big and spacious, very close to the sosodikon hill and it is located at a nice ambience with friendly owner. In the morning, you can see the view of Mount Kinabalu clearly from the chalet. Totally recommend for family vacation
It is a newly operated hotel. My family have a wonderful stay in the caravan. We can experienced the caravan stay in Malaysia without flying far away to Australia. The host Teddy is very helpful and took immediate action when we facing power supply issue.
The room is quite large. The hotel itself is in the middle of the town so easy access to shops and although the closest parking is not always available during day time, it's almost guaranteed that it will be empty from 6pm onwards.
Rooms are spacious, views of the surrounding mountains are beautiful, outdoor terrace is nice.
Hotel atmosphere is very pleasant, and it looks better maintained than other places we visited in the area.
I would stay there again.
The room is great, spacious and clean. I love the balcony. We could see mount Kinabalu clearly from the hotel. The receptionist was also nice and friendly. I have nothing to complain about. Superb view and service.
