Beautiful vibe for a walk, recommend taking a tour with sightseeing bus (we were with Spanish speaking family member so we took the original old bus which has the excursion in Spanish only, it’s an open roof bus and it was fun).
We liked the live concert of Mozart and famous local soprano in the biggest once in Latin America library (unesco heritage), the main square and Puebla cathedral, the museum of railway, and of course, countless churches.

Beautiful town with a great atmosphere - we only had time to explore just a bit but would love to have stayed longer to explore additional neighbourhoods and activities, hikes, sites, etc. Lots of great food and drink options and a great vibe from locals. We loved it here!

Very neat downtown with a lot of museums and history. Also puebla has one of the best food traditions in mexico. to go from one place to another in downtown is easy by foot, going to further locations we've used uber, which was reliable and not so expensive.

Puebla is a lovely colonial city.
Puebla is a lovely colonial city. The city center has been revitalized with great renovations of historic buildings and plazas. It is a great place to enjoy the excellent local cuisine and it is close to Cholula, a city with more churches and a pyramid.

A very pleasant city to stroll around.
A very pleasant city to stroll around. Stand out places were the excellent Museo Amparo with fabulous roof terrace cafe, Ex-convento Santa Rosa (including the museum of Popular Art) and the Casa-Museo Alfanique. Good handicraft shops and excellent and very varied handicraft stalls. Several good restaurants. All the sights we wanted to see were within walking distance of our hotel.
It's a super nice hostel. It's perfectly clean, the dorm was huge and beautifully furnished with many nice details. The staff is more than friendly and helpful! It's a 10 - 15 minute walk to the historical center what is perfectly fine. I enjoyed my stay and can recommend the hostel 100%! Have stayed in several hostels in Puebla and this was definitely the best one.
The hostel is in an old convent and built around a huge inner patio. Rooms are beautiful and calm, some with frescos. The breakfast is amazing, a real buffet for the best of meals. The staff is extraordinarily nice and attentive. VEry close to the city center and cathedral. The best place in Puebla if you can affort it. (it's very good value for your money)
Beautiful hotel in a stunning location. Incredibly comfy beds and the best showers we’ve had in Mexico! The food at the restaurant was so good, I almost didn’t want to eat out (but you have to because hey, it’s Puebla!). The pool area was fabulous. Plus, the staff all mostly spoke English (if you’re in Puebla, not everyone does) and were all very helpful.
The location of the hotel it is excellent if you want to enjoy the Puebla's downtown and all its attractions (bars, restaurants, churches, museums, etc), everything is walking accessible. They provide coffee time untill noon and comfortable beds, good internet connection, good water temperature and pressure and cable tv.
the hotel itself was very chic. it felt like a boutique hotel. I loved the location because we only had one night it was super easy to walk out and find something to eat and do on a time crunch . it’s very central to all the highlights of the city . staff was so friendly and helpful and the garage was super secure .
The location was superb - walking distance to restaurants, bars etc.
Dulce at the reception was the best thing about the hotel - super helpful, accommodating and friendly. added bonus was the fact that Dulce spoke amazing English (my Spanish is poor).
The room was extremely specious.
Hotel Gala is an elegant, palazzo-style building right in the heart of the city, just yards away from Puebla's lovely Zocalo. The location could hardly be better. Staff take charge of your car to park it off-site. There is a pleasant breakfast room on the very top floor.
Felt like a luxury hotel and totally worth it for the price. Very comfortable bed, hot shower with good water pressure, fast internet, plenty of space in the room. Location in the middle of the historic center. Would definitely stay again.
Spotless, big and very well equipped room in a luxury backpacker. Super friendly staff, great breakfast included and a good vibe. Super central and probably the best price/quality relation I had for quite some time.
New hotel, spacious room, mini fridge in the room, cozy and flowered balcony. Close to the downtown.
We were deeply impressed by concierge service.
Very good neighboring restaurant with delicious breakfasts.
Super located in the historic Downtown of Puebla, clean and modern rooms, nice service, good food, romantic rooftop terrace, staff always helpful and kind, cleaning service super, everything nearby
The hotel's architecture was nice and artsy. The breakfast buffet was small but very good and the staff was very accommodating. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Puebla, Mex.
The people at the restaurant really make their best effort to meet our expectations. In general, all the staff at the hotel really gave the best to make our stay very pleascent.
Perfectly located to enjoy downtown Puebla. The hotel itself occupies a good portion of a beautiful 18th century house. Our room was large and had a lovely opening balcony.
It is a wonderful place with the best hosts imaginable. We had a 5 star breakfast every morning, and Malu and Louise are so delightful. You will love you stay here.
Charming rooms. They sell their own tasty coffee and have drinks and snacks to offer in their café. Close to all major sights in the middle of downtown Puebla.
The location is really close to Puebla’s Zocalo and main attractions. The hotel might be a bit old specially the bathroom but it’s a good value for money.
