The owner/manager was waiting for us and checked in, even though we came by bus much later than expected, about 10 p.m. far from the deadline for check in. She was also very helpful whenever we asked anything, including a trip to Bonampac/Yaxchilan. Good breakfast to our liking. The hotel is beautiful and centrally located within walking distance from the bus station and the central street and square. Many nice, inexpensive cafes and restaurants in this street.

The hotel is really well kept and the staff & maintenance is amazing! Our dietary restrictions were well taken care of & the food itself was really tasty, which was hard to get as vegetarians in the region. The rooms also were really spacious and amazing, and made you want to spend time in them. However, would have to say that the hotel is on the more expensive side in general.

Enjoyed visiting the ruins at Palenque, well worth seeing as they were in more of a tropical setting than some of the ruins we visited around Mexico City and it is still permitted to climb up to the top of some of the ruins. While visiting the ruins it was also possible to take a short jungle walk back down to the entrance. The town of Palenque itself was quite pretty with plenty of places to eat and the people were very friendly and helpful. We also took a trip out to Misal Ha and Agua Azul waterfalls which were interesting and fun as it is possible to swim in these areas.

I didn’t spend much time in the town, I was there for the ruins. Definitely take the tour though the jungle to see the ruins that are still covered with trees. Climb through the ancient Mayan Aqua duct, see the monkeys and try eating some termites. The whole experience in the jungle adds immensely to the site.
My guide was Victor, he speaks Spanish and English, very knowledgeable, well worth the money.

We stayed one night in town to visit the ruins
- had a good coffee
- nice evening walk in the town
- farmacies availeble
The ruins of Palenque was beautifull, due to construction/care-taking we could nog visist al the temples. I was sick at the time, but there were enough toilets on inside and outside the domain.
There is a second part more into the jungle where you can see more wild animals but my body was not up for that. As far as we could understand it does take a tour to do this second part.

You can spend weeks in that region easily, because there are too many beautiful things to visit and do. Waterfalls, Maya ruins, hours and hours of hiking in the jungle is all possible and must do. Palenque and Chiapas state offers lifetime adventures. Can rental is essential as the public transport is not really safe for tourists.

The big attraction for tourists to go to Palenque are the Mayan ruins nearby. The ruins are not that impressive. At the time of our visit, the area you could walk around was restricted to only the large buildings. Every few feet was a vendor selling all the same things as the neighbor vendor. This made it feel so commercialized and distracted from being able to enjoy the atmosphere of the ruins. Tikal blows this place away. The museum was pretty good. The town has a few shady blocks with some excellent restaurants in the tourist district, but the rest of the town is not all that special.
My wife and I stayed 5 nights. The location is perfect, close to town and the Palenque archeological ruins. The owner of the property has a monkey rehabilitation project on site. It was interesting and fun to observe the work they were doing with the monkeys. This is one of the most beautiful areas of Mexico. We heard howler monkeys in the jungle around us at dusk every night. It was magical and we hope to return for a visit at some point in the future.
it was last option for accomodation, but it was one of the best in Mexico!
we arrived after 7h in car and reataurant was still oppened. we ordered Club sendwich and steak. the Sendwich was delicious. You have to order Margarita drink!!
we were in ground floor near to swimmimg pool, but the silence was respectfull. The room is comforable, big and clean. The bathroom is huge with hot water.
the staff is really helpful, funny and kind.
Convenience: The property is in walking distance of the ADO bus. Plus, it is a very inexpensive ride to the ruins.
Creativity: The hotel introduces visitors to the sculptures and carvings that have made Palenque so memorable, beginning with a full size replica of the cover of Pakal's tomb.
Service: The restaurant is good, servicable, and moderate.
Staff: Native Spanish speakers with plenty of English.
It was perfect in every way! An easy walk from the bus station and our room was ready early. Check in was flawless. A/C and ceiling fan and bathroom were excellent. The kitchen and our own shelf in the refrigerator was great. The terrace overlooking the jungle-y backyard was wonderful. Many restaurants were nearby, as well as a few small shops and a beer store.
Was great to escape to the jungle, but hotel in pictures looks much better, but in reallity does not cost its money. In room no hair dryer, in the shower water barely running, no door net against mosquitos and a lot of steps if you want to get upstairs. Rest was fine knowing that you in Mexico. And yes the road to the hotel was just a disaster 🙈
This hotel is very reasonably priced and is in the heart of the very small area containing hotels and restaurants. To be honest, the rest of Palenque doesn't have much to offer. It's very much a base for the ruins, a 15-minute drive away, and some amazing waterfalls, a similar distance. The rooms are fine, they do the job.
The property was located in a beautiful jungle location close to the Palenque ruins. There were many animals that could be seen while on the property. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel included a restaurant. The staff went out of their way on multiple occasions to ensure we had a memorial visit.
Great price for value with a beautiful area with cabanas, ponds, a pool and many hammocks and lots of plants and flowers as well as a restaurant. Great place to relax very close to Palenque ruins with a tourist info on site that we booked the waterfall tour with transportation to San Cristóbal with - highly recommend!
Me and my wife had an amazing relaxing time. Nice ambiant, great atmosphere and quiet environment. Mostly we only had breakfast in the hotel and it was great, delicious and enough for a bufet breakfast. The staff was helpfull in everything we needed or asked for. Will come back again and highly recommend this hotel.
This place felt like a true oasis in the jungle. I loved it all, the spacious private bungalow, the pool to relax at, the beautiful restaurant with extensive menu, the perfecf Wifi throughout the entire location. This was our perfect place to relax in between our Mexico road trip.
Everything was wonderful!!
Rooms squeaky clean!
Staff super friendly!
Breakfast made to order was heavenly.
Water was hot (just need to wait a few minutes for it- which is very typical all over Mexico.
Location only a few blocks off the square but very quiet at night.
Very safe.
Staff was very friendly, always willing to help out. Rooms are spacious, airconditioned, and beautifully decorated. The hotel is located just out of Palenque centre, making it a very quiet and peaceful place to stay. I cannot recommend them enough. 10/10.
Centrally located hotel, easy to reach from ADO and to get to the main square of Palenque. Healthy breakfast with yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal and bread which is a nice chain from pan dulce or fried eggs etc. Would definitely stay again here!
It‘s a beautiful place in the middle of the jungle but it’s not that bushy like the cabañas on the other side of the road it that matters to anyone. Colectivos run often starting from 6am so it’s easy to get to Palenque city or the ruines.
Perfect stay in the jungle at a sweet family hotel! Especially the transfer service to the maya ruins and the maya train station was very helpful! And great food as well! Greeting to Helena and her dad 🙃
