I would avoid using booking.com as the agent to rent a place to stay. We were double booked and had no place to stay and we still haven't gotten a refund.
We went to Mazatlan for the total eclipse. and the city is beautiful. we had rented cars so getting around was easy.
Mexico in general is a great place to visit but it is no longer inexpensive.

Was there for the he eclipse. Everyone was very kind bd and hospitable EXCEPT for the obnoxious behavior of the owner of our last night booking (through booking.com) of Hacienda Del Mar who refused to honor our prepaid booking , saying they didn’t rent for us boy that be night…..with no warning . (We were standing at the door at 3pm of the day of our booking

Mazatlan was the first place we visited in Mexico 25 years ago. As with all of tourist Mexico it has changed considerably. Now I live full time in another, quieter coastal area. We came to Maz this time for the eclipse. Normally, it's too crazy for us alumni of the party-hardy school and we were not disappointed.

BEFORE YOU EVER GO TO MAZATLAN, MEXICO YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK FLUENT SPANISH. I COULD NOT SPEAK ANY SPANISH AT ALL. I CAN ONLY SPEAK FLUENT ENGLISH. I WAS JUST VERY FORTUNATE TO MEET SOMEONE WHO WAS STAYING AT THIS HOTEL OASIS WHO SPOKE FLUENT SPANISH BUT AT THE SAME TIME WHO ALSO SPOKE FLUENT ENGLISH AT THE SAME TIME ALSO AT STAYED AT THIS HOTEL OASIS. THE RESTURANT WAS ONLY OPENED TO A VERY LIMITED BREKFAST MENU. I DO NOT SPEAK ANY SPAINSH AT ALL. I ONLY SPEAK FULENT ENGLISH. I WILL NEVER EVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL OASIS EVER AGAIN. THIS HOTEL OASIS IS BASICALLY A HOTEL WHO CATERS TO THE VERY BUDGET MINDED MEXICAN TRAVELLER WHO BASICALLY SPEAKS SPANISH. ALSO THIS HOTEL OASIS CHARGED ME A TOTAL OF $910.45 CDN. DOLLARS FOR THREE NIGHTS. THIS WORKED OUT TO ABOUT $303.48 CDN. DOLLARS. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THE HOTEL OASIS WAS ABLE TO CHARGE ME THIS RATE BECUASE UNFIORTUNTATELY I WAITED TO THE VERY LAST POSSIBLE MINUTE TO BOOK THE HOTEL OASIS. OF COURSE AFTER THE TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE OF THE SUN WHICH TOOK PLACE IN MAZATLAN, MEXICO ON MONDAY APRIL 08/2022 WAS OVER OF COURSE THE HOTEL OASIS OF COURSE LOWERED THEIR NIGHTLY RATE.

The Plaza Machado and Centro Histórico were out favorites.
The Plaza Machado and Centro Histórico were out favorites. We love watching students at the music school and strolling the streets. The monthly art walk is great. It’s a genuine Mexican city with beaches. What could be better?

We love to walk the beach.we find the music is loud and annoying at times things are getting expensive over priced for lots of things cheaper in Canada we like meeting and making new friends I still like mazatlan .we will return in a couple of years
A great apartment (more like a hotel with a kitchenette). Perfect location - a 30-second walk to a great cafe, a 1-minute walk to Plaza Macahdo and all its restaurants, a 5-minute walk to the beach with Olas Altas and the Malecon, and a 15-minute walk over to the Zona de Oro - where all the beach resorts and oceanfront seafood restaurants are. The staff at Villa Sirena was peaceful, always smiling and attentive. Very relaxing place to stay while allowing you to see the three best parts of Mazatlan by walking with no need to get in the car.
Best location. Walking distance to many tourist attractions, galleries, restaurants, and shopping. Beautiful sunsets from my hotel balcony while having a couple of cold cervezas. My room had a good-sized closet and the furniture had drawers for storing clothing. The staff was very accommodating. The front desk clerk was exceptional and she spoke perfect English.
Excellent location, right off the highway. Lots of secure parking. The room was extremely large and clean. restaurant on site for breakfast. Very easy access to restaurants in Mazatlan, and a hostess who gave us great recommendations for a good place to eat.
The beach is only a few steps from hotel lobby. Loved the dinner menu. Not so much the lunch menu
The rooms were comfortable and clean.
Location was just right. We were able to have a late check-out for an additional $1,500 MXN
I like everything about it is like brand new hotel super clean and great atmosphere. Elizabeth and the night staff were very helpful all the time. If I go back to Mazatlán I will stay there for sure! Thanks again everyone!
Clean room, strong Wi-Fi, hot shower, cold air, comfortable bed, friendly staff, great housekeeping, wonderful location. They cover all your basic needs and they do it very well. My new go to hotel in Mazatlan.
The hotel is beautiful and the staff is friendly. I traveled with my husky, and she enjoyed the hotel too.
The pool and the jacuzzi were wonderful. And the hotel rooms were big.
A basic, European style hotel near the shopping mall in Mazatlan. I missed having a fridge and a microwave but for my one night stay on my way to Tucson it was fine.
All inclusive is not what I expect, only two places to get your meals, there not beach at all, too many rocks, so i f you like beach, this Hotel is the worst decision
This hotel is in an excellent location near the beach and Old Town Mazatlan. It is quaint, stylish, and the staff is so helpful. Breakfast was excellent.
