I really liked how the hotel was located—it was super convenient to get around and check out local spots. The two pools were also great because they weren't too crowded, giving everyone enough space to chill out. Plus, the open areas around the hotel were nice spots to relax and just enjoy some downtime.

My husband and I stayed two nights at the La Joyita and it was a lovely stay. The rooms are spacious and the beds were comfortable. We opted to order breakfast from the menu beyond what was included with our stay and it was delicious. The sopes and enchiladas were delightful. There is a nice pool and food is served outside the rooms, which was a great touch. The hotel is about 17 min from the center, and it is walkable. However, Uber is also available and cost less than $4 per ride.

Great weather, in the centre of town there are several Mexican food restaurants and not Mexican restaurants. There is a great craft market and a few museums and gardens, all within walking distance. Cuernavaca is also a good starting point for other truly Mexican towns, like Taxco or Malinalco.

The Brady Museum was nice...very nicely designed spaces on a hill...by the Franciscan monks initially. By the valley of the creek road, there is a guy with 3 vintage cars, 1941, 1951, 1959...american cars, a Hudson, a Chrysler, a Ford--also, the guy is next to his son..the Aquarium and fish store..he has wonderful rock jewelry made of jade, amethyst, quartz, local basalt...the main cathedral is worth a look...also a great bird sanctuary only open on Sundays..big bazaar on Sunday Afternoon but Brady is closed on Mondays.

Cuernavaca is the always sunny destination in Mexico.
Cuernavaca is the always sunny destination in Mexico. Incredibly convenient if you are in Mexico City. It has an abundance of water which makes it ideal if you want to swim, warm baths, or enjoying a jacuzzi. I would say the hospitality of Mexicans is warm and top level.

Almost all of the city's major sites are shutdown.
Almost all of the city's major sites are shutdown. I cannot blame a town for taking COVID precautions, but overall there is no real tourism in this place anymore. Without the few museums open, this place is extremely missable, better to head to Tepoztlan instead.

Not too small town with beautiful old architecture and that authentic atmosphere of Mexico I was looking for. There are a lot of great restaurants hiding in monasteries, yards, and gardens with awesome cuisine and not expensive. A lot of bars and parties with cumbia and lemon beer you can find easily. Also, you can find good hospitals for medical checks or some procedures you may need.
The location of the hotel was really perfect! A couple of minutes walking from the bus station (Pulman de Morelos Centro) and a couple of minutes more to the Zocalo. The hotel also has a kind of historic feel. Staff is friendly. And although I had a room on the frontside of the hotel, on a street with lots of traffic, I did sleep very well, because the is much less traffic at night (it starts again at 6 ot 7 AM).
The high walls, keeping nature in, including the friendly house cat. Spent time in the pool cooling off and taking in the silence except a bird that was not too excited to see me. The restaurant was perfect and reasonably priced as to not leave the hotel one day and just ‘hangout’. The library, pool table harkened from
Another time away from the constant barking of peoples cell phones. Awesome just loved it!
A charming little hotel - well placed for my business meetings in Cuernavaca - and very cheap with nice big rooms, cool when I was there, lovely staff, and excellent cooks for breakfast and dinner - muy rico la comida !
Outside is large enough to be comfortable if not too many people - and easy parking in front (although not guarded).
Highly recommend but see below.....
Notwithstanding that breakfast was not included with the room, snacks and drinks were available in the lobby each morning. These were much appreciated. The hotel's architecture was straight out of the 1950s. Since its upkeep was excellent, we enjoyed the "time travel" aspect of our stay. Also, the rooms were set back from the street, so it was not noisy.
We had the smallest room but it was bigger than most standard hotel rooms and beautifully designed and furnished.
The food in the restaurant was very good. Service was pleasant but a bit amateurish and slow at times.
Lovely swimming pool area.
Excellent valet parking and reception.
An oasis of calm, much nicer than staying in the city (we had a car).
This hotel is best described as a small museum of Mexican popular art. Each room has an individual decor with handicrafts of a particular style/region. As I am in love with Mexican crafts, it felt like a little miracle. Besides, the hotel is very conveniently located and the staff is very friendly and helpful. An excellent stay!
The garden and the spa are great. Really beautiful. I enjoyed the swimminpool very much, specially during the week when the hotel was almost empty. The location was convenient for me, although it is far from downtown Cuernavaca.
Good breakfast and the breakfast environment is really good. The hotel is just in the old town Cuernavaca, and is easy to walk to the center park. The staff will help you to park the car, and the location is easy to find.
The location of the hotel was very calm and safe. The hotel and leisure services were very nice for the first portion of my stay with my family with little kids (swimming pool, tennis courts, mini golf, futsal).
The property is very cozy and comfortable, is the second time we stayed in the hotel and we love it!! the rooms are very modern and comfortable. all the amenities are next to your room.
Location was great. Check in and out was quick and efficient. Price was spot on for the services offered and type of room. Helpful with the parking given the location of the hotel.
Maria is a very welcoming host. Her place is clean, secure and comfortable, and it felt like my home for the week as I attended the spanish school 10 mins walk away.
