I liked going to swim at Sunbird Livingstonia Beach Hotel, readily accessible. There are nice facilities, including the crocodile farm and climbing Senga Hill - which I missed, but is on my bucket list. I ate at Safari Beach Lodge mostly, but took some meals at Sunbird Livingstonia Hotel.

Beach is good for swimming even if it is full of locals washing their things there.
Not so far away there is a Lizards Island where you can go by local fishermans boat.
