The quiet location, set off the main road, was perfect. Close to grand baie but also 5 minutes to lovely pereybere beach. Some lovely little local restaurants on the main road. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool and gardens are the highlight. Tropical gardens and so peaceful. You can book a massage at the spa which was fantastic! Breakfast is very good, lots of beautiful fresh fruit and choice of eggs and bacon, pancakes and toast. The honesty bar is a nice touch. But the staff make this place. Judy was delightful and chatted every morning, making sure every guest felt welcomed. She is a credit to the guesthouse. However, all the staff were friendly, from the managers to the security guards. Staying in a small guest house gives you the opportunity to mix with local people and feel as if you are in a Mauritian home. Highly recommended.

The apartment was very nice and so centrally located. But even better, the lady Isabella, who helped us with our check-in and other needs, were so professional and friendly giving us info about the culture, shopping hours, where to eat, etc. The host ,Saad, is just so wonderful and was such a gracious host. Anyone will love this place. Thank you, Saad and Isabella. P.s. Just note the apartment on the 2nd floor (if you have trouble walking/ have an impairment) and there is no lift, but it was good exercise for us. You will not regret staying here. We will definitely be coming again

Not the best part of the Island for a family holiday - if you are looking for the best beach area head for the South West. Perebere is an excellent location for SCUBA Diving. Loads of Dive Centers and loads of nice Dive Sites. You definately need a hire car if you are going to base yourself here.

Pereybere is a great tourist area and has one of the nicest beaches but it tends to get crowded. Also what is unappealing are the stray dogs. I think Mauritius needs to find a solution for stray dogs. Lots of halal food options in the area and nearby

Overall Pereybere is an excellent place to stay. We found the lush green trees and grass and the sandy beaches a wonderful place for walking strolling and even on the evening. It was just a cool warm air that was nice to walk.
The local people were friendly and public transport you can get around Pereybere and enjoy the different restaurants with the different foods. It was lovely and amazing place to stay the apartment in which we stayed in was lovely and the beach being around the corner was an excellent choice that we made great place lovely food lovely people . Amazing!
I would recommend that you try the seeing the dolphins and the buggy rides as well as visit in the other islands by boat.

North West coat of Mauritius is the best for climate East coast not as beautiful and sustains wind and beaches are not as good as NW coast - if you get a car - avoid Port Louis driving - a nightmare - bus driverers are the worst on the road but cheap - be careful driving - bikes at night - no lights and undertake you - idiots wearing flip flops on bikes -

Pereybere is great if you are a beach person but does not have enough restaurants & bars in terms of variety and some are really overpriced, for example WANG THAI restaurant - also very snobbish staff ...
Thankfully, Grand Bay isn't too difficult to get to during the day/evening and that gave us more choice.

A quaint little place with limited amenities in close walking distance. Paddling and canoeing can be arranged at the public beach and several food trucks are available with a different selection of local foods.
There are several diving centre agencies along the main road to chose from.
We found a supermarket called ‘Winners’ approximately 250m from the public beach which was well stocked, with friendly and helpful staff. We popped in several times during our stay. Fresh baguettes and finely shaved ham were our favourite.
We were apprehensive at first but honestly the beds were really large and comfortable. The kitchen is basic but functional and served our needs. We come from South Africa so we loved the outdoor pool area with braai/ BBQ and tropical vegetation near us. We felt so safe to walk to Pereybere Public Beach. The host was helpful and attentive. The place is really clean and neat and absolutely functional for a relaxing holiday. The price was also affordable. Thank you.

The property has a small private beach which is just as nice as Pereybere public beach, but without the crowds. Or if you prefer the public beach, it’s a 1min walk on the coast. The staff was very kind. The wifi was working fine. Good breakfast, delicious waffles made on the spot. Safe private parking. AMAZING GARDEN. I recommend the beachfront studio with garden view. I have attached a drone-made photo of the private beach.
It was a very nice experience staying at Villa Bouganville during our holiday. The location is great, beach is just a few minutes away, supermarket and restaurants are around. The owner of the apartment is really nice, he gave us a lift to the airport. The rooms are clean, kitchen is well equipped. I warmly recommend this place to everyone who comes with family, and would like to spend a nice time in Mauritius.
The house is well equipped with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. It is spacious and clean and is located in a quiet area with a short walk to the closest public beach and a grocery store. Each bedroom has it’s own bathroom which is quite unique here in Mauritius. The kitchen is very well equipped, the pool size is ideal and the tv has numerous channels to satisfy everyone!
The hotel is ideally located right in front of Pereybere Beach, which was very convenient.

The room was very quiet, which was ideal. We did ask for a quiet room when booking and they were able to guarantee that.
The rooftop pool is nice, and there are many loungers to relax.

The proximity to the beach was great. I could see that they had renovated the hotel, but there were still a lot of safety hazards throughout the property (e.g. tiles popping out around the pool that were unstable). The property has a lot of potential. I think if they could have someone look at the construction done and have it fixed it would look great.

The owners were super kind - recommended many places to visit + prepared homeda cake as a x-mas present. One of the best option for the price here in Mauritius - the acommodation is high luxury level one.
