Great hotel with larger than average rooms making family travel much easier. Was also very impressed by the meal options and quality of the food on offer which was not expected! The pool area was also lovely and quiet with a great hot tub option.

The location. It was spotlessly clean and welcoming. Everything one needs.

There are ongoing building and property developments in Munxar which will change it forever. Some of the developments are predictably hideous but others sensitive to the picturesque bay and surrounding environment. In fairness construction work was halted for the summer which is a good thing. When I took friends there in June it was impossible to sit on the front and enjoy the view without being covered in building dust., I found the kiosks and restaurants away from the immediate 'front line' still very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Munxar [in the summer] continues to be a pleasant place for a short break and well situated for exploring the rest of Gozo. Frontline businesses less 'local in attitude and cuisine. although the food was always quite good.

Munxar is a sleepy village, not much happening, but it is a good base for a stay in Gozo if you have a car or you're ready to catch buses.
If you enjoy walking, you'll be out on country lanes in a few minutes and headed towards some lovely coastal walks.
