You can enjoy beautiful views and relax in your room, surroundings is really calm and quiet. Location is also good - 5 min by car from Perast.

The apartment is in a great location. It has a beautiful views over the bay. We loved having breakfast and coffee on the balcony with the view and enjoyed a glass of wine in the evening there too.
It’s also a perfect spot to explore the area from. The apartment is specious and comfortable.

The hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to help us..the apartment was very new and comfortable. The pool was a great bonus and very welcome after walking up the hill. I would highly recommend. It's only a 5 min walk downhill to get to the supermarket and a number of good restaurants.. the bed was very comfortable too..

Nice small place, great with family with children. Small beaches, nice and quiet. City center is small but has a nice park and you can find great cafe with excellent cakes. There are restaurants on the seashore that has nice food.
There is also museum "Rimski mozaici" that we didn't visit cause it wasn't working but we heard it is great.

Risan is a small town though located close to Kotor and it only takes half an hour on a car from/to Tivat and pretty same distance to Herceg Novi.
The tourist growth hasn't influenced Risan as much as the other places in Montenegro coastline. This makes it very attractive unless you fancy crowded beaches and noisy big city vibe. Risan is like a boutique hotel as opposed to resort chains, it's small with a personal note and sense of intimacy and privacy, unique character and heritage.
It took us about an hour walk by seaside to get to Perast. There are also buses going there as well as to Kotor every hour if you want to leave car home or take a bus or boat tour. Beaches are pebble same as everywhere in Montenegro. There are not many hotels at all but nice apartments. We stayed at lovely Mint&Rose apartment and would not swap this accommodation for any hotel experience.
Restaurant Risan was our favorite place to dine. Delicious fresh seafood much recommended
Clean sea water, nice food, farmers markets each Sunday, friendly people and service

Risan is a nice small village, perfect if you are looking to spend a peaceful holiday. It’s a good location to explore the other villages in the Kotor bay. If you are looking for action then you better spend your time in Kotor or Herceg Novi. In these towns you can also book excursions because the travel agency Amfora In Risan is not very useful, they couldn’t help us with anything.

Risan is a nice, cozy and tranquill town in a farther corner...
Risan is a nice, cozy and tranquill town in a farther corner of the Kotor-Risan bay, laying at the foot of Orjen mountain and ornamented with a few attractions of relative importance, for instance, an ancient villa with some curious mosaics of the Roman period (2nd century AD), newer excavation sites between the hotel Teuta and the Risan school (I have searched for it on the Internet, but was unable to figure out what time these ruins belonged to), a nice Orthodox church, and a picturesque Banja monastery (built in the 17th century) located approximately 1 km from the town.
Risan's beaches are quite small and do not seem to be well-cared-for (e.g. there is a plenty of weed on the seabed on some of them), though my overall impression of them is quite good. The sea life is much more poor than that in Ponta Seljanovo, Tivat, where we used to stay in the past years: for example, in Risan we have found nearly no remarkable seashells (but no sea-urchins as well, which is rather good).
As to the climate, it seemed to us much milder, than in Tivat (not that stifling hot).
We also liked a free open air concert of a local orchestra organized on July, 12 (Peter and Paul day in the Orthodox tradition, a big fest for the locals). It was really nice and touching to sit in the evening square and listen to the sounds of their relaxing music.
The inhabitants are friendly, the restaraunts (among which we would like to single out Mali Hipnos, which has a Facebook food delivery service) woffer a good range of meat meals for a reasonable price, and Amfora, the local tourist agency, provides the tourists with fairly nice excursions.

Restaurants, local shops, the local market and the Fashion Beach in the vicinity which makes the perfect location and choice for a family in my opinion. Parking also free in Risan which was good for us. As we had a rent a car with us we drove to Kotor, Budva, Perast, Herceg Novi and Tivat which was just around 30-35mins drive from Risan.

We absolutely had a fantastic time at the property and great hospitality. Great location and very easy access to downtown, restaurants and grocery stores. The yard is landscaped beautifully. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. Nikola helps you with everything and gives you a lot of interesting information about Risan. We’d definitely stay at this property again and highly recommend it. Special thanks to Nikola for making it such a wonderful experience for all of us.
We had everything we needed during our stay in Ranko’s apartment! Ranko is friendly and really nice host. The apartment in which we stayed is spacious and very clean, kitchen and bathroom have everything you could possibly need and the wifi in the apartment is great. There is a parking space right in front of the apartment, supermarket is few minutes away and the beach is also nearby. We are glad we stayed here and we would definitely choose the same apartment if we ever come to Risan again!
Nice well equipped apartment few steps from the sea. Risan is a lovely city - 20 min drive from Kotor, but prices in cafes around 50% lower. Smokvica beach next to apartment- serves drinks and snacks and offers paid sunbeds and umbrellas, but there is large clean public beach as well. Convenient parking in front of the apartment. Good internet. Air conditioner in each room. Weekly farmers market every Sunday in Risan to buy fruits & veggies, prosciutto and cheese, etc.
Rustic house in Risan is the perfect place to explore the Kotor Bay. A historic old stonewall building with a beautiful green garden on the hills and a terrace with a view on the bay. parking is possible infront of the house and the small but nice city centre (with Supermarkt) is 5-10 min by foot away.
Goran and his family are so friendly and we would recommend this charming place without any doubts!
Eco House Risan is for sure THE BEST accomodation in Montenegro. You have a very comfortable, clean and well equipped apartment (even a toster in the kitchen! ) and a beautiful terrace with sunbeds, grill and shower (!). Besides we found a nice "welcome pack" - some eggs, bread, butter, home made jam and a bottle of wine. Thank You - Anke and James!
The accomodation is just on the beach, very nice and quiet bay wih sand and stones. On the beach there is a coffee bar with very affordable prices of food and drinks. The owners of the apartment are wonderful and they are providing you with everything that you need. Risan is also very small and quiet place and it was complete relaxation.
Risan is probably a good stop over place to explore different areas. This small village is not really a destination.
That said, the flat was a 2 minute walk to the sea front and a brasserie right on the water.

Really great location, 2 minutes from the sea. Walking distance to some other beach areas. This is a good budget option for visiting Perast. Walking distance to Perast, sidewalk the entire way. Risan much quieter and more of a local feel. Room was spacious, host was helpful and kind.
The view from rhe balcony is great. The mattress are hard, we liked it. The studio in the new building is big enough for two. Parking available. It’s good to have a car, because the property is outside Risan, where you have restaurants and grocery store.
The apartment is beautiful. Located almost in Risan park in a very peaceful area. Very clean and comfortable with absolutely all the amenities. The terrace is under the trees and never really too warm. It has a parking place in front of the apartment.
Excellent value, small but comfortable room and well stocked kitchen for preparing basic meals. Risan is a great choice with an amazing market on Sunday and quiet surroundings, history, hikes. We truly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it!

Breakfast near apartment in the Hotel Conte in Perast. It was 5 min by car but if you have to walk it was a bit far away . The breakfast was really good and the view beautiful.
The host Gordana was very nice and ready to help with anything. The studio was very clean with excellent WI-FI. I would return here the next time I visit Montenegro for sure.
