Everything. In summer, when the site is full of campers, the view from the cabin would be obscured by tents. But, end of September, when we visited, our view was green lawns sloping down to the river. Lovely.

Great place for walking and tranquillity. There is a river to jump in if it gets too warm, hills to climb and explore the forests. Be sure to take something to eat with you if you do not have a car, as it might be hard to find a cafe or a restaurant.

So much history: castles and museums everywhere!
Wonderfully relaxing. so peaceful and quiet. Laid-back and undemanding.
Great for all ages and all energy levels.
For the less energetic, a car is absolutely necessary to reach the local villages and towns, although there is a train station and a local bus nearby (which we did not try this time).
Hikers and cyclists would enjoy the region, but need to be strong!
We went out every day, and usually ate elsewhere. But great food is available at the hotel itself, and we enjoyed several meals there.

We enjoyed our short stay at the Hotel Dirbach.
We enjoyed our short stay at the Hotel Dirbach. Our pet Boston Terrier was welcome at the hotel, so that made it easier for us to travel. It was a busy time on the holiday weekend but the friendly staff still made time for us, and even helped recommend a scenic hike to nearby Bourscheid Castle. This can be done directly from the hotel, so that was great and was a perfect escape from city life for the weekend.
Very lovely and value-for-money holiday place "at the end of the road" - but still near enough to the airport and other places. The small river is really beautiful, the rooms clean and some of the staff very positive and friendly. Very much recommended.
We found the nearest shops in Vianden some 30 km away and there we also found some reliable well- marked trekking tracks - not very effectively maintained near this hotel... But - still enough....
We had a very nice room with balcony, viewing the river Sure. So we could relax on our own balcony to have a drink and enjoy the view . We had a huge bathroom - very clean and efficient . The hotel is in the middle of the river with a fantastic view. Easy to park close to the hotel - Nice outside terras where you can relax. From there you can make lots of trips to nice places along the river sure. Breakfast was ok. Nice staff !
We spent a weekend in Dirbach Plage and rented a bungalow. It was sparkling clean, had all amenities and was comfortable. The outdoor area / river / garden are calm and super beautiful. Check in experience was great and flexible. The restaurant was very good also. Big Thanks to the staff for their friendliness!
(1) the location - the trail I was walking actually passes over the hotel's riverfront terrace, and the spot is very quiet and scenic. (2) I came on one of the days when the restaurant is closed, and the hotel arranged for its chef to prepare a simple meal for me anyway. (3) The bed was very comfortable.
Super location at the river, super quiet, cosy and with a friendly staff. Clean room, the sound of the river beneath is super relaxing. The walk over the bridge to enter the hotel is like walking into a ferry tale. Wonderfull and an excellent place to recover from stress.
The location is fantastic. You have to cross a little footbridge over the river from the car park to the hotel. The terrace is next to the river and I spent a very relaxing evening there just reading a book with a babbling waterfall for background noise.
Beautiful location. Very helpful and friendly hosts. Ideal property for a family/group stay close to nature and the castles in the area. Good dinner available in the hotel restaurant and great breakfast can be provided by the owners.
Great location even though my navigation had some trouble finding it. The breakfast was good and very friendly staff. It is not a luxury hotel, but the mattress was good and the room was clean. What more can you ask for.
This is one of our favourite hotels. Anton looked after us very well and it was lovely to stay here again after the long closures due to covid. We will be back.
