Breakfast spread was awesome, the aunties by the thosai and appam counters were lovely, happy to oblige all our requests. The pool was nice to chill at, and the staffs were amazing. One of them even randomly said - did you see the elephant?
We quickly followed him and saw "short tail" the resident elephant chomping away. The staffs stayed with us the whole time and kept us safe. One staff even followed us to the beach and the lake side to ensure tht we're safe
We missed the leopard sighting tho :(
we saw so many random animals at the resort while walking to the restaurant, beautiful views of water buffaloes, crocodiles and peacocks chilling together at the lake. truly a great experience

We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives - one evening and one morning one) and although we enjoyed the animals we observed, we did not have any sightings of leopards despite being the national park with the highest concentration in the world. But that is nature so we were just unlucky on those days. However, the most disappointing aspect of Yala was the sheer number of vehicles allowed into the park at one time. As soon as elephants or leopards are sighted, drivers communicate among themselves and vehicles all rush to the scene creating a massive traffic jams. This makes it feel very mass market and doesn’t seem very respectful of the wildlife

Terrible time. No wild animals as expected.
Terrible time. No wild animals as expected. Roads are all around the jungle which is pretty disturbing to the wild life. After all it is supposed to be a protected zone for wild life. Jeeps are crawling every corner of the territory. Amused to see all of that disturbing scenes in a wild life protected zone. It's like business zone. Poor animals.

I loved Yala.
I loved Yala. The number of different animals seen was slightly disappointing but apparently wash outs due to rain prevented us from accessing some internal roads. The sunrise and scenery were stunning. I would rate it as good value despite the lack of animals. The whole experience was wonderful.

The national park in Yala is beautiful however it is hard to drive around as the roads are poorly maintained. There is a large populatin of birds and i think this safari would suit bird watchers more than those who want to see the elephants. The 6am -6pm safari is too long.
Sigiriya is far superior when it comes to large herds of elephants.

The hike in the nature reserve was amazing, we saw lots of amazing animals and landscapes.
Were lucky and we were able to meet the tiger as well.
It is important to note that the trip should take drinks and food, the hotel staff where we were did not tell us the length of the trip and did not make sure to let us know that we should take care of ourselves.
Of course we were smarter and brought with us the necessary equipment ..
But there were those next to us who did not and that was unfortunate

The beach, however, was too rough to swim which was a little disappointing.

Our stay at Leopard Nest Yala was fantastic! The glamping tents were comfortable and beautifully designed, providing a perfect mix of luxury and nature. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, and the guided safari was well-organized, allowing us to see leopards, elephants, and more. The food was delicious, with local flavors that enhanced the experience. Highly recommend for a unique and unforgettable adventure!
Lovely hotel with a good room and nice swimming pool.
Staff were really friendly and helpful when I cut my leg and got plasters for her.
The restaurant manager, Samphah, ensured that we had a fabulous Sri Lankan curry for dinner.
The location was convenient to access Yala NP.
We went on an early Safari in Yala NP and they supplied a really nice packed breakfast.
Paid by credit card with no charges.
This hotel is beautifully located in the Yala park. You get to see a lot of wildlife without even leaving the hotel. We saw crocodiles, water buffalo, lots of beautiful birds, wild boar roaming the hotel and of course monkeys. The food was one of the best. In the evening you have to be escorted back to your room for safety reasons, there was always staff there to help and this was not a problem.
Breakfast in the treetops was sensational. Bandara provided first class service with a smile and our guides on our full day safari were informative and we found leopards and elephants as a result of their expert local knowledge of the national park. All in all it was a 10/10 experience that exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you Tribe Yala!!
The Kele Yala resort is located near the Yala Park entrance, and a safari tour can be booked through the hotel. We enjoyed the room and great food! The staff was very helpful and we loved our stay! We can highly recommend staying here if you are planning a trip to Yala!
