Good value safari driver arranged by the staff in the hotel ( tip. we paid the driver $40 for the driver, and bought tickets on arrival at the Udawalawe park entrance. you can pick up a local volunteer guide in the car park as you buy your tickets who can talk through the animals and park detail. we then tipped the guide around $10. The total for the 3 hour safari worked about $40 per person)

We had the BEST time at Royal Reach. We really were treated like royalty. The hospitality was amazing, they went above and beyond to give us an amazing and luxurious stay. We were only there for one night but we wish we could've stayed a whole week!!! Every member of staff was so friendly and attentive. The hotel itself is beautiful and the pool is fantastic. The facilities on site are great, especially the gym which we really enjoyed using. The food was so delicious and so fresh, using organic ingredients grown on site. The attention to detail of everything was amazing and the service was executed perfectly. A special thanks to the general manager Seransighege and the barman Banuka who really went out of their way to look after us and make us feel special. We could not have asked for a more wonderful stay, it really exceeded our expectations. Bohoma Istuti to everyone at the Royal Reach!!

The room was HUGE, as was the bathroom. We had so much space, and a great view. A juice was provided on arrival which was a nice touch as well. The host was super helpful in organising a tuk tuk for us when we wanted to go visit our friends down the road. The location is only about a 5-10 minute drive from the park entrance, which is super convenient as well.

family is extremely friendly and welcoming. they organized some coconuts for us because we like them so much and stood up early to provide us with a packed lunch for the safari. Ganga cooks delicious meals and Niroshin is a safe driver whose taxi services we enjoyed.

ncredible kindness and service from ravindu(host) and his family. He organized a shuttle for us from hiriketiya beach to this lovely venue. He also organized an absolut amazing private safari tour for us, including a super friendly driver who explained and showed us a lot of the Udalawawe National Park. We did the 6 hours tour inclusive delicious selfmade breakfast.

The staff were super helpful with arranging a Safari for us and suggesting dinner locations. They went out of their way to help us and ensure we enjoyed our time in Udawalawe. Could not recommend more. Breakfast was also excellent and delicious.

We opted to have our safari and transfers from Ella and to Marissa organized by the stay and everything was perfect. The pool was nice and warm and you can watch the bats fly around at night from the pool.

Very good quality room, the best of all sri lankan places I have been to. Delicious breakfasf, dinner and fruit juices. Hosts are very lovely and kind people, Kuma English level is very good. Safari trip was amazing, elephans, monkeys, bufalos, bambis and crocodiles all inclusive, together with a cool driver, that was the FIRST in line to buy tickets for us! I highly reccomend.
This is the best accommodation that we have stayed in. The family are very welcoming, quiet and gentle. We had hot water and air conditioning and a large room with an ensuite. It is all ivery clean. We were welcomed with tasty coconut drinks. The evening meal was an extensive selection of different curry dishes and really delicious. We also loved the curds and treacle afterwards. It's a great place to stay and do a safari in the Udawalawe national park which is 5 minutes away. We also had an amazing safari with Lahiru during our stay.
We absolutely loved Peacock Villa! The family who runs it is so incredibly kind and friendly. You stay on their property where the meals are home cooked (tbh the best food I had in all or Sri Lanka), they drive you in their keep for the safari and the property itself is beautiful. While sitting on the balcony, we saw a bunch of monkeys crossing through trees. They will also help arrange transportation for you at a great rate considering the distance. I can’t wait to come back here sometime again!
The resort is really lovely and a nice place to relax. The outdoor bathroom is superb and an experience that enhanced the whole stay. The safari organised by the hotel was amazing, especially our driver/guide Perera shared a lot of information and showed us the best spots in the national park.
The beds were very comfortable and there were relaxing chairs inside and outside of the tent.
We can recommend this resort, especially because of the amazing value for money!
This place is in the middle of nowhere, which is a rarity in Sri Lanka and so good to relax and unwind. The hotel is peaceful and the facilities are amazing. The room had a comfy bed, balcony and room service. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and attentive to guests needs and requests. Be mindful to take everything you need for your stay as there are no stores around to purchase things. The pool was amazing, food delicious and surroundings peaceful.
Everything! Gayan is a lovely host who went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable, going above and beyond to drive us 20/30 mins to town to get cash out and then stepping in to drive us to Mirissa when the cab couldn’t make it. Incredible service. The safari was great and our guide was really insightful. The food is absolutely amazing, the staff cooked the best meal we had on our trip. 10/10 recommend this place for all going to Udawalawe.
I stayed during one night at Green View Safari Resort when I arrived to Udawalawe. They offered me also dinner as buffet and a welcoming drink. The location is very quiet and practical to do the safari at the national park. I arranged the safari with them for the next early morning and eveything was very good, such a great experience, very recommendable!
Service was very attentive and nice. Rooms are in big cabins with exterior space.
Hello everyone, just want to share our experience with Gayan ´s hotel. It is located very close to the main entrance of Udawalawe national park, with very kind host Gayan, who provided us the safari tour - with very experienced driver - he saw a little chameleon on a distant branchlet. How could he spot that, we still wonder😀 anyway, we really recommend staying with Gayan ´s!
Outstanding place to stay in Udawalawa. Dimu welcomed us warmly, prepared the best curries we’ve ever eaten (the best in Sri Lanka!), and helped us organize the Safari with Sumudu, which was helpful, and proactive when it came to finding animals in the Udawalawa National Park. Overall, a unique experience, highly recommended!

Great accommodation! Very very clean, comfortable equipment and very nice hosts who also make great dinner. This was the best room and accommodation during our trip through Sri Lanka. The whole family is working for the guests. They also arranged a great safari in Udawalawe National Park with a Perfect Guide.
