Everything! The staff were amazing & professional & friendly. The room was so nice, whole bungalow to ourselves, huge comfy bed, private balcony overlooking jungle area, amazing clean swimming pool with good sunbeds. Well kept pretty gardens. Food was amazing too…we chose delicious curry but western type food available too. Huge portions & so tasty. Breakfast really nice…fruit platter & toast/jam etc. Good coffee!
Did afternoon safari to see elephants arranged through hotel. Guide, Lassa, was so good! He was the driver of the jeep but was so knowledgeable about all the animals & had “eagle eyes” spotting them. What a brilliant few hours, so worth the money & great value. He was so concerned to make sure we had a great safari.
What more can I say?…nothing was too much trouble for Lassa, always one step ahead of the other drivers. And guys at hotel were warm with a great sense of humour but professional throughout. Will definitely recommend to all & hope to come back to Jungle Paradise.

Arrived late but was welcomed by Mila who managed to sort out evening meal. Overall very enjoyable stay and would not hesitate to return. Mila and his team, very likeable and hospitable hosts. Enjoyed the backdrop of the lake and its resident turtles and many fish. 100% recommend the lodges available. We stayed in the lodge with the bathroom open to the elements and were joined by a host of creatures including a frog and lizard 🦎🐸😂 For value for money this establishment rates at the of the best ever encountered. Just on the edge of Udawalawe National Park, look this place up, I can guarantee you won't be disappointed 😊

We loved our stay at Amba Kola. Jannik and his family were super welcoming and friendly. The rooms are very nice. Even when I catched a cold, they gave me medicine and brought me tea. We very much enjoyed our Safari und we loved the cooking class and the food was amazing.
