Great place to stay! Sunrise Cottage is beautifully located, surrounded by big green plants and only a short Tuk Tuk ride away to start hiking on the Lion's Rock. Restaurants etc. are in walking distance.
The host is super attentative and nice and helps with whatever you need. He gave us tips, offered rides and organized a driver to our next destination.
Also, he provided a great breakfast every morning.

A beautiful hotel staff very friendly. Breakfast buffet really nice lots of choices. Had an evening meal, for such a large hotel prices very reasonable. Had a problem with the bath reported it, was repaired with 30 minutes. Great service. Will be going back.

Sigiriya was wonderful!
Sigiriya was wonderful! Climbing this rock and Pidurangala Rock at sunset was an awesome experience. I did it on separate days. Each has its beauty and aura about them.
I had a great massage on 2 days in a row after the climb.
We also visited the Minneriya National Park. This is the park to visit if you want to see herds of elephants! From big to baby ones, single to herds. Even the ones with tusks. It was rare and super cool! They got them all!

So much to do and see!
So much to do and see! 3 nights is plenty, but easy to fill it! Climb the rock, absolutely do a village tour; go for a herbal massage (but prepare for a different kind of massage to normal!); and go on safari! We had a driver which made getting around super easy, but there are countless tuktuks you can rent.

Great value for money, the Sri Lankan brothers, that own and operate this beautiful little hotel were exceptional catering for all our needs. Food was some of the best my wife and I had eaten on our trip. Could not recommend highly enough thank you guys for a memorable visit to Sigiriya.
Very tasty breakfast. Friendly staff. Nice pool, kids enjoyed a lot. Close to Sigiriya and Dambulla. Big rooms. There were some problems with one room and therefore they offered other room, which was actually bigger and nicer, more than expected. Would stay again.
