The hotel is stunning, nestled in the wilderness, and serene. With no TV and limited Wi-Fi only available in the rooms, it truly allows guests to disconnect.
The food is amazing, meticulously presented, and bursting with flavor. The Sous chef goes above and beyond by sharing all meal plans in advance and adapting them to our tastes and requirements, offering a truly Michelin-worthy cuisine.
While the rooms are clean and tastefully decorated, the wooden slats permit sound from cicadas, crickets, and other animals at night, potentially disrupting sleep for even those who aren't sensitive sleepers. Additionally, noise from neighboring rooms can be audible.
Additionally, waking up with the sunrise did not bother me, but it's worth mentioning.

If you are a nature lover, there's no better place to be! Mystic, rustic place in the heart of the jungle - I am very happy I came across. We had the opportunity to meet the owner of this masterpiece who seems to take pride in what he does. Staff is very friendly and nice, always there to help. My massage treatment was out of this world... Lastly, the food is also very nice. We got the full board option and didn't regret it.

A really special experience to stay in such a beautiful location with a gorgeous swimming pool, the best food we had throughout our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka, and the most charming hospitality from Terrance and the team. Incredible to see the tea factory. This stay was the highlight of our trip.
I had the worst experience in a hotel in Sri Lanka recently...
I had the worst experience in a hotel in Sri Lanka recently in this resort. I booked a room there from booking.com and confirmed the booking by giving my credit card details. I drove more than 200km just to reach this resort in the weekend holidays with my wife. I called several times to theme resort head office on the way to the resort and they never responded. Then I found the telephone number of the resort and called them. They gave the directions to the resort and asked to wait in Rangala town which is the end point of the vehicle road, then they will pick us up from their 4WD vehicle. Then we reached Rangala town and called them again. At that point they told me that they could not find my booking and they are already fully occupied the rooms. We were in a horrific situation as we drove so many kms just to reach there. I had the docs which was sent by booking.com by confirming my booking there too.
Finally, I could contact theme resort head office by trying several times. The guy answered the phone ignored my situation and just told me that they have sold my room to another and can’t help further. The reason given me was that “we tried to contact you , but we failed so that we assumed you won’t come today”.
I was in a helpless situation and there were no any alternatives other than returning. The bad and irresponsible way of handling things by this theme resort management ruined our whole holiday.
It may be the way of theme resort management treats for their local customers. But, for me it is the end of looking for any of their resorts.
I have stayed many hotels and resorts in Sri Lanka and never faced this kind of disgusting customer service. I would recommend to avoid theme resort resorts unless you want to see your room being sold to an another guest based on their so called assumptions.
