Staff were lovely and very helpful, particularly Ayesha who looked after us so well during our stay. She was a pleasure at breakfast and dinner each day.
Hotel grounds are stunning particularly the gardens, rooftop bar and the pool. The setting of the hotel within the mountains is beautiful and the views can be enjoyed in the dining room and throughout the resort.
We got treatments in the spa and would highly recommend. The therapist was great.

it's great place but for foreigner they charge fees for everything such as entry fee to enter the place to visit and there is no any free facility which is not good. as a traveler we are going to visit city and promote the city on our social networks therefore we should have some facility to get some exempt the charges to view more about city.

A good place for visiting the Horton Plains National Park- negociate locally for the 40 min drive in a Tuk Tuk ( 9000 lks is about right). It has a nice lake to walk around. The Rough Guide though old is still very useful. The centre is small and compact with good facilities .. The exception is the 'Tourist Office' close to the bus station.. It is close to useless - dont look for impartial advice as the owner has his own Tuk Tuk!. Victora Park is worth a stroll.

Quaint little town in the hills. So, cooler climate and perfect spot to take a break from the sweltering heat in Colombo. La Grande Villa is just a 10 minute walk from town and a 5 bedroom boutique hotel, which makes it the ideal place for a quiet, restful stop before Ella.

Nuwara Eliya is a sleepy town nestled within acres of tea estates , which has maintained a lot of its colonial buildings that it almost looks like a different country altogether. Hence the name Little England.
It is best suited for an Individual or family that is looking to just relax at one property with great views , dabble in luxury (there are a few options) , do a little bit of sightseeing (all nature related) and experience the architecture of the town itself. It’s non-touristy.. None of the places we visited were crowded or dirty. The town sleeps by 10pm.

we spent 2 days in the off season (mid feb 2024) which was perfect, no overcrowding, mad traffic and great weather. We stayed 1 night in a studio apartment and 1 night at a small guest house both were perfectly maintained and very nice accommodations well worth the price.
check the weather and go in the off season to enjoy and relax in NE as it should be done!

Nuwara Eliya is gorgeous. But the hotel we booked, we stayed with difficulty for one night, then left at dawn. We then stayed at for a week at another place, which was lovely.
Nuwara Eliya is a very beautiful hill station. Nature has been preserved well. Old style buildings add to the beauty of nature. Especially noteworthy are: Post Office Building, old heritage buildings, Victoria Park. Amazing waterfall near railway station. Station is quite far from town. Nuwara Elia is well served by buses from almost all parts of Sri Lanka.
Travel by rail is very pretty, but returning by night train is not advisable: the train is always late, and what they call "sleeper" is actually a reclining seat.
Hotel with a unique beautiful design, located a bit on a hill, very good location, quiet, away from noise but very close to everything.
We had amazing views from our balcony early morning, birds singing, fresh air.
Room is spacios and clean, fridge, kettle in the room, that is nice. End of february it was warm and pleasant inside the room without a heater, as I know, usually in Nuwara Eliya it is cold inside the premises at night.
Polite and friendly staff, good breakfast. Good and big bathroom with a window.

The best hosts you could wish for. Maybe you can find homes in better location, or fancy hotels but I can assure you that you miss one of the best experience in Sri Lanka if you stay elsewhere. Food is great, the home is warm (which is a good thing in Nuwara Eliya) and comfortable. The host is a former tourguide, so if you are interested in the history and the true current state of Sri Lanka, he will tell you all, show you around and makes sure you leave with a smile on your face. 10/10 , next time we will stay more days there.
Such a lovely place to stay, we were glad to be slightly away from the centre of town. Kushan was a brilliant host, we could have come with no plans at all and he would have ensured we had lots to do to make the most of our time in Nuwara Eliya and onwards! Pedro Tea Estate is a short walk through the tea plantation from the cabin.
Breakfast was delicious and the perfect amount, we could choose from Sri Lankan or Western breakfast (we had Sri Lankan). There's a lovely view from the tree house where food is served.
We booked 2 rooms for 3 people. 5 nights. King's lodge is the perfect place to enjoy nuwara eliya. Lovely hosts, wonderful breakfast, great view and clean and nice rooms! Breakfast was every day different. English with toast and jam. Sri lankan with string hoppers, curry and cocos sambal. We catched some rainy days so we spent more time in the hotel as we usually would. Every evening the owners brought some tee for free. They also organized taxi and tuk tuk for us. Thx for the service. Would book again!
Although this hotel is located about 30 minutes outside of Nuwara Eliya town, the view from the hotel is 100% worth the drive. One of the only hotels in the area on a hill, nestled amongst tea fields, where you have a view of the tea covered hills below and the passing train on its way to Ella. Most other hotels are in town, set in the valley with not much of a view. The pool is incredible, amazing views as well and temperature controlled so even on a cloudy, chilly day we were able to swim comfortably.

This is a newly built hotel with all star class amenities. It has a beautiful indoor hot water pool and two viewpoints to enjoy the views of the area.
Rooms are luxury spacious and have all facilities. Staff is professional and friendly. Food is delicious and have a good variety.

Dream Stay Green is a very cute guesthouse in Nanuoya, the owners are very kind and its location makes it the perfect place to stay if you wanna visit Nuwara Eliya (20 min by tuk-tuk from Nuwara Eliya city center) and take the train to Ella/Kandy (5 min by walk from the train station). The room was big, spotless clean, nicely decorated and had a beautiful view on the hills and tea plantations. On top of that, they arranged for us the freshest and most delicious Sri Lankan breakfast.
First of all the hotel location is very convenient as it’s in the middle of the city Nuwara Eliya. Their service is superb. All staff is very friendly and always in smiling face ready to help. The food is excellent, both sri lankan menu and English menu are very fresh & delicious. The room is in very good condition almost with the facilities of 5 star hotel. Hotel rooms and everything is as same as in the photos published and really worth for the price.
If you are planing to visit Nuwara Eliya, the only place to go is Heidis Home. The experience from the host and the place is unforgettable! Heidi is amazingly great, considerate and warm. This is not just a hotel but an art museum in which you can stay. Every inch of the building is impressively hand-painted in detail. The room was spotless clean, spacious, with great atmosphere and very comfortable bed.
I was so impressed with my breakfast they provide, Delicious breakfast I ever had, Thanks chef I really enjoyed it, They also provide Lunch and Dinner, I only had breakfast and I recommended it 1000%, Overall this place is amazing, if some one looking for travel to Nuwara Eliya, try this place its a such good place to travelers. We only stayed one night as we were passing through Nuwara Eliya, but we would have happily stayed longer. The hotel is lovely, and the buffet evening meal was our favourite throughout our whole trip. It was my wife's birthday whilst we were there, and the hotel staff organised a birthday cake at short notice which was greatly appreciated.
Great location in a quiet area but within walking distance from the town center. The rooms are small but cozy, with all the amenities and the staff very friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the espresso in the Ayurveda coffee shop! Would definitely recommend Suriya guest for a stay in Nuwara Eliya!
