this is an ideal place for privacy and relaxation. There are only birds and lizards around and not a single person. The staff is great! Caring, polite, surrounds with attention and warmth. Very kind and open people. The hotel itself is cute and incredibly authentic, well-kept grounds, cute houses. There is everything you need for a holiday. Very tasty food and great selection of dishes. Incredibly delicious seafood and cool barbecue on the beach. Beautiful and cozy right on the ocean shore.

We had stay at Anukama resort on April 18 and 19, 2024 (three adults) and the staff are very nice and helpful,even the General manager, Jena Moorthy, a nice gentleman, I would like to bring some points to the management of Anukama Resort to improve the accommodations and services
1. Make sure the hot water supply, the commode flash, and the hot water itself are functioning before granting the visitor access to the room (we experienced a negative experience when we entered the room and the technicians arrived to fix the issue for over an hour while we were in the room).
The room and bathroom were extremely poorly cleaned.
3. The bed sheet and pillow that were provided are extremely small. When we asked for more bedsheets and pillows, they gave us only one of each and said they were out of stock.
4. Although the room has an electric kettle, the staff only provides two packets of office, milk, and sugar each time we ask them to get these items for three people.
4. Even though the accommodation charge includes the breakfast, the serving on the plate are insufficient for a single adult.

We loved our stay at the NN Beach resort and Spa - we were only going to stay for 2 nights but we ended up staying for 4! The location is superb, right on the beach and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

This is a hidden gem, easily screened out if you were looking for 4 star plus. This place is a paradise if you are looking for a relaxing vacation and get trained in Scuba and get certification. Diving school at the edge of this property has all the gear you can rent for the day or you can bring your own. Instructors are experienced in local reefs and diving hot spots. Best food here is Sri Lankan food and fresh off the boat seafood. If you don't like spicy food, choices may be limited. My daughters, one of whom was a Vegan had plenty of choices.

Nilaveli is a quiet place on the whole. If you're into snorkeling....dolphin watching and whale watching then this is the ideal place for you. We stayed at an amazing boutique property called cbeyond nelaveli. The property has one of the cleanest Beaches if not the cleanest beach in the area. Also you get picked up at that beach itself for all the activities so it's very convenient.
Also a must go place for a drink or swim is Beach lovers. There's actually a few really Beach bar's on this strip of beach. Vitamin Sea is a very cool Beach bar on the same beach.

Nilaveli beach is great and you really need a vehicle to get around Nilaveli and to the Trinco town and Nilaveli beach, the hotel is perfect if you are there for relaxation and chill. I'm vegetarian hence beachside restaurant is not a perfect place to talk about food, however, the staff of Nilaveli Beach hotel did offer me some good local and international vegetarian dishes and the taste was good as well. You can do many activities there, but the time I was travelling was not ideal for any activities because of the COVID-19. It was more of a forceful stay to pass the day.

Fabulous resort with excellent friendly staff. Rooms are super clean and beds very comfortable. AC works great and there are fans as well. The food at the restaurant is a bit pricey but we managed to use the fridge in the room and have our driver take us to get snacks and breakfast foods so we ate only our dinner at the resort. The pool is wonderful, clean and there is plenty of shade. The beach also has shade. Beach towels and mats are provide for the pool and beach area so you don't need to take towels from the room. The staff are always asking if you need anything and always have a smile on their faces. This place is fantastic apart from the internet which is only in the area near the lobby and restaurant and is not always the best. Otherwise the resort is a 5 star in our opinion.

I recommend everybody to go to a good hotel for your stay! Spend some more money but better stay in a good one. We stayed in Nilaveli Beach Front Condos.
Nilaveli Beach is a super place. Enjoyed Lovely sunrise.unforgettable! Even we saw the sunset at kinniya on the same day. So it's fab!
Pigeon island is a must place to go. You will see how much you love the almighty when going on that little boat. But on the way back its normal. Pregnant ladies...don't go in that boat. I suggest the Navy to have a kind of a big safety boat for travelling.
Boat rate - 2000/- ( don't rent from anywhere else, not even from your hotel as it's run by a society)
Tickets - we paid only 765/- for 6
Snorkeling rate - 600/- per set per person
Don't get safety jackets as it's no use while Snorkeling. They charge 400/-.
Don't hire a guide. They will just take you to a place telling you fairy tales. It's a safe place. Officials are there for any assistance. Only thing is you should keep some first aid as sometimes people will get cuts for corals. Enjoy coral and fish. But do not touch!
No much places to eat in trinco though. So better have your food in the hotel itself. Our food was awesome at Beach front condos! Ohhh yet mouth watering.
If not go to Dutch Bank closer to navy camp. Super clean food!

The view! The whales! The dolphins! The reef sharks! The Turtles! The lagoon! The sea! Viability for days! Sunrises and sun sets! The town is lovely too!!! Use a tuk tuk and get him to take you to temples and around Trincomalee. Also look on tripadvisor for good food places! There are too many but you cant walk to them.
Fantastic place with great architecture in a perfect location. The rooms are gorgeous and the „public“ areas feel like a living room much more than like a hotel.
The view of the beach lagoon outlet is pristine and the food was delicious.
There is good snorkeling by the red rocks just off the beach with nice corals on the south and east side (but destruction from dynamite fishing towards the north). A decent swimmer can easily reach the spots. Unfortunately, there are few fish, however.
We had a great time at the Nilaveli beach resort. The staff was really very nice. What is not said is that, on the beach, next to the resort, there is an exceptionnal spectacle every day: traditionnal fishing. Fishermen bring an enormous net with a boat, about 1 km away from the shore. The net is linked with 2 long ropes that 20 people pull up from the beach for about 2 hours. Estonishing to discover how many fishes they bring that way in their net!
I had a pleasant and relaxed time in this guesthouse. The family is very nice and always ready to help. They can help to find a boatman to go Pigeon Island. They also propose a really nice breakfast!
The room was confortable and new. The location is perfect: next to the beach and to a good restaurant for dinner! wifi very speed and coconut rotty very tasty (break fast)I recommend!
Really hip, funky and well-conceived boutique hotel right on a gorgeous stretch of Nilaveli Beach. I had this amazing room with a loft, comfy bed, funky bathroom and absolutely amazing deck overlooking the beach. The indoor and beach-front public areas are super comfortable and well maintained. Our breakfast and dinner was top notch. Great accessibility to the local area.
Beach and Sri Lankan food on offer were excellent. One of the better places to have Sri Lankan Crab and lobster without paying too much. Pool area and garden with nice shades for hammocks was very relaxing. Outdoor showers were simple but convenient after a trip to the beach. Dive center is one of the best where you can rent snorkeling and scuba gear and guides.
The room was spacious and clean. The beds and mattresses were simple but good enough to sleep. It is a really short walk to the beach and calm at night, beautiful palm tree and open space in front of the bungalow with air con. Nice white interior. The owners are really so kind, helpful and welcoming, we felt at home. The kids loved the two goats in the garden.
A lovely hotel with a big garden and swimming pool in Nilaveli right by the beach. Breakfast was amazing and different each day (we went for local options). The staff were very friendly and accommodation (Thank you especially to Prashanth). We stayed in the chalet room which was closer to the pool and had a nice terrace.
We really enjoyed staying in Sea Zone Hotel and had a comfortable stay. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We could do all what we planned to do. Location is very close to Pigeon Island and boat service to whales/dolphin watching. We loved delicious food provided by Yogi. She is a very lovely, and caring person.

The room was huge and the bed as big..... mattress was heavenly. All meals were great we had the Lobster to treat ourselves and it was coooked to perfection. The Sri Lankan rotti breakfast was great light and beautiful not at all heavy with coconut like the rest of the hotels we stayed
We had a lovely stay at Cardamon Hotel, the team is very kind an always checking how we are going and if we need help. The hotel situation is perfect to relax and deconnect, with an access to the beach and a diving center next to it. Room are big, simple and confortable.
This place is a real treasure! It is literally right on a beautiful strip of Nilaveli beach and feels so relaxing. Mandy and her team are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. I will definitely stay here again and can highly recommend it!
Very nice host. Tasty food. 5 min walk from a beautiful Nilaveli beach with some good waves. Excellent value. Restaurants and shop nearby. Coral island snorkeling trip - many fish, alive coral and reef sharks.
