Stayed here for 1 night. Not a bad location If you don’t mind walking. It’s about 25/30 minute walk to Galle or Unawatuna as it’s located in the middle of both. Just be aware that it’s main roads in some places so not always ideal to walk along!

We had a wonderful stay at the Lady Hill Hotel! The staff are incredible; so lovely and always on hand to help. The hotel is beautiful and our room was very big with a balcony and view of Galle. Everything was very clean and the pool was great. The view of the sea/Galle from the restaurant is amazing, especially at sunset!

An unexpected stay! We had to replan our trip last minute due to a cancellation on a connecting flight. We had plans to get to Kandy / Ella, but they were all scuppered. But we found ourselves in Galle, where we had wanted to visit but knew our initial plans would not afford. So as they say, every cloud....
The Green Casa is a beauty to behold. A 150 year Dutch merchant villa that's been redesigned - keeping the old features in tact, with nostalgia added from an age long gone and the feel of the old colonial days. There has been a lot of respect in maintaining the history of the architecuture. Old pictures taken by the owner bring to light the history of communities in Sri Lanka.
We arrived to Mohan, who gave is the warmest Sri Lankan. He looks after the property and the guests there, and made us feel so welcomed. We arrived to welcome drinks, and felt so spoilt during our 2 night stay. They somehow knew that we had a difficult trip to get there, and even if they didn't, we felt they knew.

GALLE FORT is great for a one day visit.
GALLE FORT is great for a one day visit. The town is small and some shops are repetitive, with the same items for sale, but there are a few unique shops and restaurants which make a visit worthwhile.
Sunsets are beautiful; walk along the top of fort walls. Take a tuk tuk to the local fish market just outside of town for vibrant local life and walk back. We stayed overnight which made the visit more relaxing.

This Building is 400 years Old and in all our Travels of 30 years we have never lived in such a Colonial Building. The staff compliments the story behind this Colonial Masterpiece and they were Excellent. Service, Quality, Food and Drinks. It was a very Personalized experience living here because the hotel only has 11 rooms. We booked the Suite which was very spacious, Comfortable and Beautiful.

Galle is a city with a combination of a Dutch period fort and beach with all modern facilities. Dutch Fort is a very live well, reserved place with excellent attractions and choices. Walking over the museums and art galleries located in preserved ancient buildings is an excellent experience. fairly good nightlife available with ample choices of fine dining. within Fort, they charge higher prices due to high tourist demand. yet affordable eateries, supermarkets and facilities are available out of Fort within walking distance. Also people in Galle are very friendly, professional and helpful .
The hotel is in a small jungle. The location is super, within walking distance (around 20min) both to Wijaya beach and to the bus station (to Galle). You can also walk to several supermarkets and seafood restaurants.
The breakfast is tasty, they have fresh fruits, eggs, bread with butter and jam, coffee and tea.
The time when we arrived, we had welcome drink from Andrey. He is very friendly and offered us tipps traveling in and around Uwanatuna.
We will definitely come back when we visit Sri Lanka again. Thank you very much, Andrey!
The hosts are amazing and so kind. They went above and beyond for us. There are two rooms they rent out and we took both. There's a large porch that only we used, where we had dinner a few times and breakfast once. The food is a huge bonus- so yummy, big portions and inexpensive!! The rooms are comfortable, simple, a little rustic. Location- 2 minutes walk to the beach, easy to get to Mirissa, Galle and more. The host can arrange a tuktuk, airport pickup and can recommend where to exchange currency. Take this place, you won't regret!!
The Prof's Place is a unique and intimate hotel. It has a traditional Sri Lankan architectural feel with all the modern amenities. It's location is brilliant as it is only a few minutes drive from some of the most brilliant beaches and night life on the southern coast. When you get back to the Prof's Place you are in a secluded oasis of tranquillity overlooking the sea and cocooned in a chill vibe. There's a lovely pool as well. The food is exquisite and the service is always with a smile! Thanks for the great stay!
This is a beautiful heritage building that is well maintained. The location is superb, facing the western ramparts of Galle Fort, perfect for sunsets, and just around the corner from one of the main thoroughfares. The room was very spacious and tastefully decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Sri Lankan options for breakfast were delicious. Perfect for those who like unique, boutique places that make you feel more like you're staying at someone's villa than a business.
The lovely welcome from the owners Sri Lankan and Italian, and their staff, They were all so friendly. perfect breakfast. we loved the Italian cappuccino, fresh fruit juice, omelettes, fresh mixed fruit and delicious waffle.
The accommodation is new and very stylish. The location was also perfect, within 10 minutes walk of Galle fort or a short tuk tuk ride to anawatuna delawella and jungle beaches, which are all worth a visit, but best to get there early ax they can get busy.

The view from the hotel was amazing. We had the suite, and it was the right choice. Exceptional with the pool and the view. Nature all around you. You can see monkeys in the morning and evening. (Being your binoculars)

Even though remotely in the nature if you want to go to galle it is still only 20 min by TukTuk or 5 min to the beach.

It’s our best place in Sri Lanka
Indika is a passionate owner and manager, who serves his customers with great care in this, his personally own created, guesthouse. This is not a chic boutique hotel, but a small, simple and personal ‘home’, coming as a reasonably low cost, perfect for backpackers who would enjoy basically ‘sleeping on top of the waves’. You will not be closer to the beautiful waters of Sri Lanka. Food, service, WiFi, beds are excellent!
1.The host was amazing, really careful, received us extremely late with fruit juices and several bottles of fresh water.
2. Location was perfect, really in the center of the Fort, next to the clock tower and to the best restaurants in Galle.
3.The room size and cleaning were higher than expected and the internet functioned quite well.
This was definitely the best hotel I stayed in Sri Lanka for this price range.
An amazing place by the beach. Location is a bit away from Galle but accessible by bus. But the Cabanas aren't that clean/comfortable compared to other cabanas I stayed in Srilanka at that prices. And food portions needs to be improved (Very less portion at high prices).
The staff were very polite and welcoming. Loved the Washrooms though - the water was coming out of bamboo! Well placed.

Everything about the hotel was outstanding, from the spotless rooms, to their fantastic rooftop restaurant and bar, and the central location. Best hostel I stayed in all of Sri Lanka. Room is beautiful. Common space is huge and easy to meet people. Full kitchen, fridge, free chilled drinking water. Right next to the beach that's great for surfing and also next to the bus stop to Galle Fort. Price is amazing. And the only place I stayed that took credit card payment!
The room was spacious and the enclosed balcony had a great view of the sea and of monkeys frolicking in trees nearby. The family running the guesthouse were very welcoming and each morning prepared a very ample and delicious Sri Lankan breakfast. A great choice if staying in Galle Fort

Mango house was comfortable, the staff were extremely friendly and sought to help me with all of my questions. Breakfast was delicious and served in a lovely setting in the garden. This is a great hotel to serve as a quiet oasis when you are visiting the Galle Fort.
