The food, lovingly prepared by Nishad’s wife, was some of the best Sri Lankan cuisine we’ve ever had—each meal was a delightful exploration of local flavors and traditions. Nishad went above and beyond as our host, taking us on unforgettable excursions to a local tea factory, stunning waterfalls, the iconic Ambuluwawa Tower, and several beautiful temples. These experiences gave us a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and rich culture of the area, all while avoiding the usual tourist crowds. What truly sets Toropi Homestay apart is the genuine warmth and kindness of Nishad and his family. Their care and attention to detail made our stay the best we had in Sri Lanka. 2 km far from city centre which was fine during Esala Perahera. Staff was really helpful. There's a washing machine if you need to do your laundry (4$). it's possible to have lunch/dinner. Breakfast is ok.

Very good value for money, one of the best so far for me in Sri Lanka. Comfortable bedroom with AC and fan. Peaceful location, you can hear a water stream. Local vibes, not so developed neighborhood but close enough to the city center. The staff is really kind.
