I have only good thoughts when I am thinking about this place. When I arrived I got greeted by Prubad and his wife with a big smile. Even when it was already passed lunchtime they asked me if I wanted lunch after my long trip.The pictures on the site do not really justice. It is a lot nicer. The place is new, the bathroom is super. There is a shower for cold and hot water. Prubad and his wife will do anything to make you feel at home. The first night I just been sitting on the terrace watching the thunderstorm and the fireflies flying around...it was wonderful. They have a small menu where you can choose from for breakfast, lunch and diner because you are in the jungle and there is not much around. You do not need to look for a tourguide, you can do it with them. You have different choices for tours and Prubad knows a lot about nature. I can write here a whole story how good it was but will not do that. Do not hesitate if you want to stay in the rainforest. You will not regret it

A serene space in the heart of the jungle, surrounded by trees & peaceful scenery. You have to cross 2 streams to get to the property, making it a very magical experience. The host was very attentive, going above & beyond for us during our stay. He also took us on a hike in the area, which was one of the best hikes we’ve done. It gives you a true glimpse into rural Sri Lankan life, a highlight of our trip. We also went on a tour of Sinharaja, organised by the host, which was also amazing. We couldn’t recommend this space more.

The location of Dolagawa is magical. There is a river and a small waterfall where you can swim right next to the resort. We went to the Sinharaja Forest and the host arranged a 3-4 hour tour for us which was really nice. The food was good and the staff was welcoming, helpful and super friendly!

+ Simplicity is the tranquility and friendliness of the owners. Owner took us on a forest tour and showed us a lot of animals we'd never seen alone. The complete visit with the waterfalls was the most beautiful.

Close to Singharaja Rain forest.
Close to Singharaja Rain forest. You have also some good tourist spots which everyone can enjoy. Choice of restaurants is less. All are basic with nothing flashy. If you are depending on public transportation it is well connected to Galle and Matara from where we can get Highway buses to Colombo. Not developed as a tourist place

Fantastic location to visit and stay couple of days for relaxation. Visiting Sinharaja forest , Patna sliding rock , off road ride to sliding rock and Sinharaja entrance at mountain peak could be very exciting.

Fantastic place I have been many times. the property has a bridge to enter that is broken for months now. no way a vehicle can enter or go up to the ticket counter due to this. vehicles should be parked about few KM off the site. Sinharaja is a heavenly place.

It was a great city to relax and enjoy. All so we can go to sinharaja forest and many more water falls. Other side of sinharaja have beautiful tea estate and mountains. When you can go to hiking, swimming in natural pool, jungle visit, special this area have original kithul honey.
What an amazing place! Incredible view and location. Dumith and his family were extremely accommodating, helpful and caring. The room is well-equipped, private, clean and has proper Wifi. It has a really nice terrace where you can listen and watch all sort of birds pass by. We were treated like family members. They always went out of their way to make sure we are comfortable. Dumith was always happy to show us around and accompanied us all the way to Deniyaya city to make sure we get on the right bus. Highly recommended and will be back.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Evergreen Villa a lot. The room is really nice and very clean. The Villa has good food and is located right next to Sinharaja rainforest. Saman, the owner of the hotel is very nice and did an adventure tour through the rainforest with us. (He does different tours, depending on how long you want to walk 😉) He knows a lot about the forest and the animals that live there. We had a great time! Thank you 'samahara Saman' 😁
The owner is a guide of Sinharaja forest. I join a tour with him and he is so professional and knowledgeable! The tour was amazing. We walked in the forest and heard birds singing. Also captured lots of photos of endemic species, showered under waterfall, enjoyed fish therapy and bathed in pool. And then after tour, he prepared delicious dinner for us. Highly recommend everyone who wanna visit Sinharaja forest stay here.
It is less than a Km from the Meredipitia bus stop. The breakfast is so good. They will take good care of you. I traveled solo and the hospitality was too good. They also recommend best guides for the Sinharaja rain forest tour.

It is not a hostel as the name says. There are two large spacious rooms - one double sharing and one triple sharing room
This hotel was by far the highlight of our holiday, we stayed in the greenhouse room it’s just a wow 🤩 our hosts where exceptional and the food all home grown and home cooked was the best we’d had on our whole Sri Lanka trip. We did the rain forest trip while there which we highly recommend all organised by our hosts. It’s a 5 star stay from us and we highly recommend it and will be returning in the future .
We had a lovely two day stay at Vini Villa, the facilities are great (clean and large shower and large bed), the Sri Lankan food that Vini's wife prepares is really good. We did the 6h day tour with Vini in the reserve and the night tour. Both were great, saw plenty of lizards, insects and birds and went swimming in the waterfall. Can only recommend, we had a very pleasant stay.

In the middle of the rain forest, near a waterfall surrounded by trees, monkeys, lizards, frogs, and wildlife. This family establishment is well natured and taken care of. The owner is a happy soul very enthusiastic about eco systems and wildlife and will be more than happy to spot wild life for you and take you to a 1 km round tour in the rain forest. A unique place.
This accommodation in the rain forest is beautiful! It's the perfect place to have a peaceful stay in the middle of the jungle. Karina, the host, takes great care of the place. There is a river in which you can swim, a Yoga place in the forest and the hotel team makes great food. We really enjoyed our time there and would definitely come back :)

A modern hotel in leafy surroundings on the outskirts of Deniyaya: a 15-minute walk from the bus station. The rooms are comfortable, there is a nice swimming pool, and the Sri Lankan food is good (though no alcohol is served). The hotel can arrange tours of nearby Sinharaja forest reserve.

The rest house was under rehabilitation, and the staff could not provide us with accomodation. The booking system is presently not working, for sure. However, the staff improvised and found another nice place in Deniyaya for us to stay.
