This boutique guest house is fantastic, located in front of the Samabe lake. This is such a peaceful, relaxing and quiet environment. A real paradise for all nature lovers - located just a few minutes away from Dambulla center. For now, there are only 2 cottages in the property. So basically the stay is very private (no noise around). The cottage size is very good with a terrace from where you can enjoy the view of the lake. The personnel is very friendly - and insisted to invite me for a lovely boat tour on the lake for free. Surprisingly there was no mosquito in the cottage whereas we could think that there might be due to the proximity of the lake. The WiFi was working very fine. All was perfect. From this place, i did visit Dambulla (e.g Golden temple) and its surroundings- up to Habarana for a half a day safari (mainly elephants spotted) in the national park of Minneriya/Eco lodge. Spent 2 wonderful nights …and wish I would have more time to stay more !

All the sites were wonderful - Sigiriya (the rock), Dambulla Caves (Amazing - especially cave #2), Polonnaruwa (Ancient City), Elephant Safari saw 40 to 50 elephants - Mothers and their children on a ridge at the very end of the safari! It was a great day to be able to see that many in the game reserve all together. I would spend minimum 3 but really 4 nights up here as the travel day really doesn't count because you aren't running out to see anything until the next day, so this way you have 3 full days to see all the sites and it isn't rushed. Also, you go out early in the morning as it gets too bloody hot in the middle of the day.

Dambulla is a great place to explore, especially if you are a nature lover. Lots of greenery is preserved amidst the cave temples. Frescos at the Dambulla cave temple are amazingly beautiful. Inside the caves are cold though the outside temperature is steaming hot in the summer.
Sigiriya rock is another attraction near Dambulla. It will take a half a day tour to climb up and down but if you want to explore more, the area surrounding the Sigiriya rock garden is vast and can wonder around the rock garden and historical ruins for hours. Good for hikers.
Ibbankatuwa ancient grave yard, Pidurangala (A rock with nice view at the top, situated parallel to Sigiriya Rock are some of other nearby attractions.

First of all we would like to thank the owner and the management for giving us the opportunity to stay at this beautiful resort.
Colin and Ajit did a wonderful job of looking after us
They are hard working, sincere and committed in their work.
Few things that need to be sorted out were the overgrown creeper in the front which is preventing sunlight from entering the front of the house.
Lighting in the room and bathroom need to be brighter. A stronger Wi-Fi would be welcome
Overall an enjoyable stay
Hope to visit again
Regards
The staff were like close family members who were truly interested in ensuring your well being. For example, when I purchased a meal in Dambulla to eat at the hotel, the staff served the meal to me like they had prepared the meal themselves. One staff member always made sure an insect coil was lit when I was outside. Incense was continually burning outside which I love. The staff also took me to a clinic when I needed an abrasion on my knee looked at. The staff member translated my issue to the pharmacist who attended to me immediately.
Supreme Villa is a hidden gem of a place in Dambulla. And it exceeded all our expectations. The rooms are spacious, air conditioned with clean and comfortable sheets. It had all the amenities you'd expect from star class hotel, with a really nice washroom with dainty soaps, loations, hot water and rain showers to a mini fridge, coffee maker, , WiFi, TV and much more.
The caretaker/Manager was extremely friendly and helpful and it was such a pleasure to stay here. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who asks
This place located in the calm and picturesque part of Dambulla, but close to two main sightseens of the town. The territory is very green and clean and the room was also very cosy and nice. Food was very delicious: every morning it was very interesting to try new dishes of local cuisine, dinners was also really good! But of course the main gem of this place is the family that runs the hotel: they are very friendly, surround you with an atmosphere of care and are ready to help in anything.
Everything was really good! The pool bar was relaxing, beds were comfortable, food was tasty and bedrooms were clean. I told them that it was my bf brithday and they made a pretty decoration with flowers and leaves in the bed. Our 2 nights in the hotel were great, but the main highlight was the staff. All of them were friendly and helpful everytime, specially Siduu and Tito, who shared more time with us. Thank you for a great time! If I go back to Dambulla, I would definitely stay again!
The room is very nice, large with AC and 2 fans. Bed is very comfortable. Bathroom is big with hot water shower. The owner Athula is the kindest man I met in Sri Lanka. He will greet you when you arrive with home made fruit juices, tea or coffee. He will do everything possible to help you organize your visit. Will take you free of charge to the temples in Dambulla, bus station, bank..
Breakfast is excellent, every day something different.
Great value homestay! Out of the hustle and bustle of Dambulla and so close to the Cave Temple. The breakfast was huge (way more than we could eat) and the hosts were wonderful helping us organize transport to Sigiriya and then to Ella at a very reasonable cost. Loved the big rock behind the property which you could climb for a beautiful view. The dinner was delicious, one of my favourite Sri Lanka meals so far!
I have concluded my journey with the happiest experience since travelling around Sri Lanka. Thank you for the warm welcome and the emotional experience offered. There is no option to compare this Family Nest with a hotel.
IT WILL EXCEED THE EXPECTATIONS
Close to the bus station.
Buses to Colombo airport
Close to a restaurant
Shops nearby for buying drinking water or something to eat.
A great place to stay, very nice room, hot shower, A/C, wifi, everything you need/want. Good location outside of Dambulla town, very close to tourist attractions. Highly recommend this accomodation! Chathuri and her husband Shan are super lovely, very helpful, kind, welcoming. Plus Chathuri makes delicious cakes!!! 10 stars is not enough!!! If you visit Sri Lanka, come here!
The hotel is located in the heart of Dambulla city conveniently close to the Kurunegala-Dambulla road. Rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. The food was tasty and severed hot and the portions were good and also reasonably priced. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Although it is in the heart of the city very relaxed setup. Overall, its great value for money.
Good location near Golden Temple in Dambulla
We were traveling from Negombo to Sigiria with a plan spend a night in Dambulla. Host was kind and agreed us to drop our beckpacks before check in (we drop them around 10am). We also had good traditional Sri Lanka rice&curry dinner in this place, it was tasty.
Overall: good price vs value, we enjoyed our stay here
This hotel is a little oasis in the crazy main drag of Dambulla. We found it good to travel to other places, got a tuk tuk to Anuradhapura, that was an experience!
The food at this hotel was amazing, there’s a wait, because everything is cooked fresh, but it’s well worth waiting for. The staff are so helpful. Recommend.
The hotel was spotless, the staff were just so friendly, helpful couldn't have been kinder.
They provided additional towels for the pool.
The room was simple but pleasant. The bed was very comfortable.
The new larger hotel at the front is likely to open later this year .
Amazing small hotel just in few minutes walk from Cave Tample. Pool is great for relaxing after warm day. Outstanding hospitality. Manager helping to organize any kind of tours for reasonable price. Highly recommend
We had a lovely stay at the hotel, with the owners being so kind and friendly. We had the most wonderful sri Lankan breakfast served to us - the taste was just wonderful - with good local spicing!
This hotel is in a very nice setting and convenient location for sigyria and Dambulla caves. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were very comfortable.
