This was an amazing place to stay. Our first night after collecting our Tuktuk. It was great to cool off in the pool and then enjoy a divine home cooked Sri Lankan dinner. Enjoyed chatting with our hosts over dinner and breakfast - learnt so much. It’s a beautiful property, super clean and very well furnished. One of our best booking.com places ever!!

When I arrived in chillw and went to the beach and found it simple and there are no services and hotels in the area, suddenly I found this simple hotel overlooking the beach and booked it and when I entered the hotel I was surprised by the welcome and spaciousness of its staff, we were very happy and satisfied, the hotel owner is very friendly and has provided us with all the services and when we wanted to go out to the beach he went out with us and helped me carry the children, and he was keen that we enjoy our time, I thank the nice staff especially "Sandoni" it is working in full swing, and the food was Very tasty and delicious, And he prepared us a great complimentary , The pool is clean and entertaining, the staff works hard to be happy during your stay, so we renovated another day at this beautiful hotel

We had the best 3 nights sleep here during our month in Sri Lanka. Lovely room with plenty of hot water. The breakfast was great and we ate in the restaurant each evening which served top quality food. The free pushbikes were a bonus for us to explore the local area and meet with the friendly locals.

This is a good place to visit during the Western/ Southern coast season (Nov-April). We couldn't get to the beach as the sea was too rough but really enjoyed Kayaking in the lagoon. It was only Rs. 1,000 for 2 people.

Walked in to the hotel on the 1st October around 5.15 just to find out that we were probably the only guests. Had a long day and was looking forward for a nice dinner and surprise.. no buffet just an al a-carte because of low occupancy. Since we were the ONLY people around wanted to get an upgrade as a cover up for the meal and guess what. The front office manager wanted me to pay lkr1800/- ($10) for the upgrade. I just couldn’t be bothered. I never new that Laughs holdings (the holding company of Anantaya) can go that low. After so much drama from the front office guys came to the room to have a shower just to find out the dirty floors in the cubicle. First and the very last visit to Anantaya-Chilaw. If you wanna have a good time just strike off the shabby place to avoid disappointments. Special for the foreigners, there are way better hotels in Sri Lanka.
