We arrived very early and were able to check in instantly. After that we got a lot of fruits (banana, watermelon, mango) for free. The house was very clean. You could see that we were only the third guests, because everything was very new and modern. The owner was very friendly and helped us with everything instantly. We could also rent bikes for our stay.

The room was cozy. The AC was a life saver since it was very hot. You have a common kitchen, iron board and washing machine which is hard to find in these areas.

It is an amazing city surrounded by the lagoon and the beach. The morning sunrise and the evening sunset is must see for all the travellars. The lagoon crabs and fish together with some tamil food should be a good stay. Pasikudah beach is just 30 mins away from the center city.

Nice place.
Nice place. Nothing exceptional in the way of sights but I found the town engaging. A pleasant place to spend a day.
One word of warning - my bus didn't stop at the bus station but hammered through heading south. Fortunately my hotel was just off the bus route and the bridge is a major landmark so when I realised where I was it was easy to get a tuktuk to take me there. But ask the driver if the bus terminates at Batti!

Hot and dry weather, but superb beaches and tasty food. Please try to interact with the locals there. Do not just mind your business and leave. They are very friendly and sweet people. There are a lot we can learn from them.
My favorite spots were the Kalladi region where there's only a little village by the sea.
probably the only place in Batticaloa with a traditional open house and veranda with the classic view of Batticaloa lagoon with net fishing catamarans and fort

freshly cooked food , all typical of eastern province and locally sourced or from the owner's organic estate and farm.

Juda is very welcoming and friendly! Loved staying here. He provided a delicious breakfast upon request and arranged a bicycle for me to ride around the city, all at an affordable price. Has great recommendations for food and things to do around town. Accommodations are neat and quiet. Great place to stay in Batticaloa! Walking distance to the beach and biking distance to the town.
The location overlooking the lagoon is wonderful despite being somewhat out of town and away from easy-to-hail tuk-tuks. The staff were helpful and the swimming pool was great. There is a restaurant on site that is open 8 am till 9 am. At the prices proposed it was wonderful value for money although a little sad as it was large but not very busy when we went
The first impressions were great and one of the most calm and relaxing places I have been to. The place is full with great hospitality and they were so nice and accommodating. One of the best beaches in Sri Lanka and the beach is just near to the Villa. Very much affordable rates and it’s worth to the amount you pay.
My entire family enjoyed our stay here. Felt like home. Excellent service by the Manager and all the staff. Very understanding and accommodating owner who checked up on things via telephone. Make sure you try out their variety of Sri Lankan cuisine made to order by their resident chef Mrs. Haren. Beautiful property.
Juda and Amutha were fantastic hosts, so helpful and friendly. We stayed for three nights to explore Batticaloa, where we rented bicycles from the accommodation and were given recommendations for where to explore and where to eat. Beds were comfy, breakfast was great, and the rooms were clean. Highly recommend!!
A really pleasant collection of huts on the lagoon. Ours was comfortable, if not spectacularly appointed. The staff, service and food were excellent. The weather wasn’t conducive to using the pool, but it would be inviting is less torrential rain. We were happy to stay here for our two days in Batticaloa
Loved the food, fantastic variety of options and the local Sri Lankan food was brilliant - especially the fish sambol. Beautiful location, very peaceful and beautiful, with nice and comfortable rooms at a good price. Very friendly and accommodating staff
Super friendly and helpful staff, really nice location right near the beach and very peaceful and quiet area of batticaloa. Also helped me with some mechanical issues with my bike which was much appreciated. And had a lovely dinner and breakfast.
Really nice garden with bungalows. The owners are really nice and even made us some breakfast even though we didn't order it the day before. Very close to the beach, but there are no shops around so you have to bring something from the town.
Big hotel with pool and conference hall etc...not exactly a Sri Lanka traditional place which is what we look for as a tourist like us.
