The concept of the hotel as a retreat is very nice. Huuuge property with beautiful nature everywhere you look, which you can explore by the free-to-use bikes they offer. The view from our room into the nature and to tge mountain was beautiful. We liked the architecture of the rooms and the restaurant area with the window facades. We also liked that there was no music in the restaurant area to be able to enjoy the sound of the wind, trees and animals (especially birds). Also, as the hotel has only nine rooms in total, you have a lot of privacy. Actually my friend and I have only seen two other guests one time at dinner but had the pool all to ourselves (but we have to say that we have been there during low season). The staff of the hotel is very friendly and attentive. If you have any wishes/needs they are happy to assist you with anything (e.g. the FO manager helped us to book the train from Kandy to Ella). The best feature of the hotel for us was the food, which was included in our room price for 2 nights. For breakfast they have a Sri Lankan option and a western option (we chose the latter and enjoyed omelette and nice fruits and sweets). Dinner was excellent the two nights. Well-thought 4 course menus that are changing every day, including starter, soup, main course and desert. Every course was a gusto. Also they cook a lot with their own grown plants from the garden and you can really taste the difference between these fresh nutritious meals and the frozen fish and vegetables in Germany. We really LOVED the food. The only thing we would improve is the maintenance of the hotel. The walls, windows and the pool could be cleaner. Also the sun loungers could be renewed as well as the bikes and the roof covers. If maintenance and restoration in the hotel would be improved, it is without doubt an amazing place. Just a little tip on the side: the time we were there it was very windy, especially during the night.

This place is truly magical! I never felt so welcomed anywhere in the world. The staff is amazing, so kind and helpful, very caring. The room is lovely and the views unforgettable. In terms of food, breakfast is beyond delicious, and we were also lucky to try some local fruit from the trees around the hotel. Oh and we saw so many animals in the area - colourful birds, monkeys, and even elephants. I wish we booked for more than 2 nights - it’s absolutely the best place to stay in Sigiriya!

We only stayed two nights but it was perfect! - location near the rock went there at 6, that was perfect - did a trip to Polonnaruwa and booked a driver to the smallest Nationalpark and to Kandy from the hotel, everything was perfect organised and good experience! Saw a lot and received many interesting information! - aircon - Beautiful pool, like a little green oase to relax! - delicious food and coffee! - good breakfast - big and modern rooms and bathroom - comfortable bed We would always choose it again and can highly recommend it!

Superb hotel with wonderful staff and facilities. We enjoyed the gym, pool, and ran around the lake. Perfect location for exploring the area. Close to sigiriya rock, dambula cave temple, wildlife reserves.

The Pool was great and wonderful and they maintained the pool very well.After some tome i found out that there is another pool in the opposite to the hotel and it's also a part of it.It was a great experiance

The buffet breakfast was good and tasty. The bed was comfortable and the Food and Beverage Manager was excellent. He, single handedly made our experience there a good one. He was very attentive and was very pleasant to deal with and he took very good care of us.

The staff was amazing and their hospitality surprised us. Specially their manager (Mr.Ruchira)..The breakfast was delicious. Room was comfortable and clean.It's possible to walk to lion rock and also to Pidurangala rock within 5-15 minutes from the hotel. Highly recommended.
