I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lucky Bay, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The owner Mohammad was amazing, always going above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. The place itself is beautiful, with well-maintained gardens that provide a serene and relaxing atmosphere.
The room was cosy and comfortable, with beds that guaranteed a good night's sleep. I especially loved the cute hammock on the porch, which was perfect for lounging and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The owner also provided excellent information about the area, which made exploring so much easier and enjoyable.
The hotel is just a few steps away from a stunning beach. It was the ideal location for a beach lover like me. Overall, my stay was exceptional, and I can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a perfect getaway.

World away from busy world. I love the destination. One of the best location I've visited in Sri Lanka. Superb. Kudumbigala Temple, Okanda Dewalaya, Kumana Bird Sanctuary, Yala east national park. Lovely beaches and lagoons and many more places to visit and activities to do in Arugam Bay.

It's a place for beach lovers and surfers. Further not that spectaculair place to stay, lot is outdated and overprized.
For nature lovers is Kumana the place to be and for that reason you stay in Arugam Bay. One village further is Panama, with a little accommodation to stay.

Best place to get away from the busy city life. This is my 7th time visited Arugambay and it has become my fav destination in Sri lanka so far. The vibe is so relaxing and beaches are breathtaking and you can go in to the wild

It is a must destination for any traveller who is interested...
It is a must destination for any traveller who is interested in surfing. There are shops to buy your needs and many more. You can find good restaurants where they serve meals at any time. Kumana the wild life sanctuary for birds is nearby to where you can arrange transport at Arugumbay. Apart from birds, crocodiles. Leopards. Bears and elephants can be sighted. Though this is situated at east coast there are places where you can observe sunsets as well.
Breakfast was good staff were great and really helped us settle in showing us the area and sorting out surf lessons etc.
The pool was great and all the facilities were functioning.
Great location for whisky point. With water safari available nearby. About 20 minutes from Arugam Bay by tuk tuk for about 2000 rps if you fancy a noisy night out on the beachfront.
Overall though the hotel was good and more importantly the staff were exceptional.
We enjoyed the hotel and particularly the managers who are really nice, really kind, very helpful and gave us a lot of tips to visit arugam bay, surf and enjoy the local activities. We were a group of five people and we really enjoyed the place, the managers were so kind that they even upgrade our suites for free. We highly recommend to go to this place to enjoy sunrise and sunset

The bungalows are beautiful and it felt like a home away from home for us so even though. it was a long ride from Colombo airport but worth it
Oceanfront, gorgeous beach areas, beautiful coffee shop and restaurant, excellent service with historic, very well-appointed rooms. . Do not miss out if you are headed to arugambay, we stayed in an oceanfront room that was very large, beautifully appointed, very comfortable bed. More than everything you could want in a hotel on the arugambay near the main point
this new hostel is super clean and has a fresh decor. the evening events bring a nice social vibe to it, with an outdoor cafe and drinking area. the cocktails are some of the best i’ve had in arugam bay plus super cheap if you get the happy hour deal.

The place has a very homey vibe, practical room designs and good spots for yoga / relax. Kitchen has blender which is a must with all ths fruits around! Owner is very resonable and onest and very tidy, kept the place very clean for the whole time. It's also the best quality / price ration you can find in Abay! Thnak you and see you again next season!
Hidden gem in Arugam Bay! If you like to escape the busy roads of arugam bay staying here is the perfect location. The cabanas are super comfy and the porch is an extra feeling of having your own little house. Best bed I had in Sri Lanka!! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The Spice Trail is a beautiful oasis in the middle of bustling Arugam Bay. The room was spacious and very clean and the whole accommodation has an eco-friendly focus with refillable glass bottles etc. Kasun and the rest of the staff are super helpful and friendly and we'd definitely go back if we came back to Arugam Bay.
Property is located right on the beach and room was exceptional. Staff and the owners were great. Food was excellent and the breakfast buffet is a must try. We loved our stay at the Bay Vista. Definitely try the sea bath located towards north west side of the beach.
