This is a nice hidden gem. I think it's a fairly new property (2017?) but built with repurposed materials so it has an old colonial feel. The pool was fantastic! large and clean and almost cool. The property's biggest asset is its chef. A man from Negombo who makes the most delicious food. Better than most hotels we've stayed at, and we have stayed at more than 50 different hotels over the past few years.

The hotel is easy to find. Our accommodation was a very liberating place for us. Our room was very clean. The bed was huge and very comfortable and I love the decor of the hotel. It is very tastefully done and many will like it. I found the reception staff to be very friendly, prompt and responsive. I was very happy to get a late check out after my little request. My girlfriend and I stayed for one day and ended the day very pleasantly at CTC Hotel..If I go to Anuradhapura again I will not think twice about choosing CTC Hotel.

Our room was lovely and spacious , nicely decorated, nicely furnished, clean, good bathroom, nice little balcony to sit out. Very high ceilings on the first floor rooms. Good air conditioning. Comfy bed and pillows. Electric shower worked well with plenty of hot water. Would have been nice to have coffee & tea making facilities in the room. Location was OK but we think the location of any hotel is not the best owing to the large area covered by the ruins. Unfortunately, you really need a tuk tuk to get anywhere. Restaurants were hard to find close to the hotel. The hotel does provide breakfast at extra cost, we did not have breakfast as we decided to eat out. The WiFi in our room was not good, infact is, was the worst we'd experienced in our five weeks of travelling in Srilanka. Otherwise all was good.

I have just stayed for a day because I didn’t want to spent around 25 dollars for the ancient cite. But I have walked around and prayed in Siri Maha Bodhi Tree area which is a massive and fascinating place! I have visited some other places such as Isurumuni Royal Temple and even sat down in front of the meditation stone and meditated there for a bit and it’s a very chanting place to be!

The old city and temple complex is huge and takes a long time to walk around. In many parts you are not allowed to wear shoes or hats, so if you don’t want burnt feet, take some socks and wear sunscreen and carry water.

1) No hot water in the shower.

2) A whirring / drilling noise that kept me up all night, perhaps coming from one of the hotel pumps / generators from above. When I enquired about this at reception I was told that “the hotel was full” and my questions as to what it could be were rebuffed with a “goodnight”.
3) There were no batteries in the remote for the tv.
4) Which didn’t make much difference as the tv didn’t work anyway when I swapped out the batteries for the air con.
5) The air con worked but didn’t turn down meaning that I had to constantly turn it on and off.
6) The swimming pool had safety issues in that the side of the pool had a suction hole which sucked people in if they got close. Thankfully it was only me that discovered it and not the kids.
7) our drivers quarters were full of cockroaches and he was asked to give up his fan for a “guest” half way through the night.

Anuradhapura is ancient city in Sri Lanka .There are plenty of places to visit in Anuradhapura. Ruwanweliseya is one of the best remarkable place in the world because lord buddha's spiritual value hidden inside there. All Buddhist and non Buddhist people should visit there .
Owner was unbelievably helpful and assisted us with everything we needed. Went out of their way to help us. Stayed in 2 different rooms (last minute change of plan on our behalf) and both were beautiful, really clean and gorgeous view over the faddy field to roof top. Was clean and all amenities we needed. We even hired bikes for for the day to visit Anuradhapura with bike lock. The breakfast and dinner was delicious. Owner is a very good chef and the best food we had in Sri lanka .Would go back in a heart beat!
The swimming pool is huge and perfect to relax in after a very hot day in Anuradhapura. It only costs 1.500 rupees to rent a bike for a day, which is a perfect way to discover the city. It’s also not a far tuktuk ride to Mihintale, which is beautiful. The staff is very friendly. The location of the hotel is a bit far from the city centre, but for us it was perfect as the city itself was not as nice and very dusty. A perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.
We had an amazing stay at kubura resort and would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to Anuradhapura. The staff were attentive, friendly, and happy to help with anything. The breakfast was great and we had a delicious selection of Sri Lankan curries for dinner. It was lovely sitting out by the palm trees watching the birds The pool was perfect for a dip after a day of exploring in the sun. Thank you to everyone at kubura resort for the best stay!
The hotel and rooms were extremely clean and spacious. The food was very tasty and the staff were very generous with the food portions. So it is great value for money. Some of the best food we have tried in Sri Lanka. Located in a quiet and peaceful location we were able to relax and unwind after long travels. Good quality showers and hot water. Overall we would come back and stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Overall, our experience was great! The room was spacious and cosy. The staff was well-trained ,compared to most hotels in Anuradhapura.The pool was fairly large and the surrounding was very nice with lot of shade from trees.The food was great with a variety of choices (local and international) , staff was very friendly and very caring. The restaurant manager, Mr Pilapitiya was very friendly and accomodative to our requests.
Our host Mr. Wasantha and his family were so nice and helpfull.They prepare great breakfast with their own grown fruits and homemade food. We talk about our trip in Sri Lanka.Its really cozy place to stay in Anuradhapura.Rooms are clean and beds are soft. Also he offer great trips all over Sri Lanka. Excellent hotel for relaxation. The area is quiet and peaceful. Beautiful spacious rooms with a stylish bathroom. Nice view from the room to the pool and garden. Nice swimming pool on site. You can rest. There is a table and chairs in front of the entrance to the room. Polite and hospitable staff. I recommend stopping by at least one. Relaxing atmosphere! Thanks for the hospitality!
The manager/owner was EXTREMELY helpful. Our lugagge did not arrive on the plane with us and he called and called until the luggage was then delivered. Lovely Sri Lankan food and hospitality. The Location is a 10 min tuk tuk drive from the train station. You can see three temples in the distance from just outside thr hotel. The price is good, air conditioned room a blessing.
Everything was so good, and the owner was very kind and very supportive. The location was lil bit away from the main road, but the location was very calm without any distractions. Kitchen stuff is good and included all the equipment and can be use with some extra charge. Rooms were very clean, tidy and spacious. Overall, everything was perfect and stayed for 2 days.
Definitely the best hotel I stayed in Sri Lanka. The owner will do anything to make you feel like at home and will help you in any way possible. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are just beautiful and taken care of. I loved the hospitality and can’t say a single negative thing about my stay here. The rooms we got were great and the services from owners Kanchi and Supun even better. The setting of the homestay is quiet and beautiful. We had a fantastic cooking class with Kanchi and Supun guided us to Wilpattu Ntl Park, the Ancient City and the other sites around Anuradhapura. All at very reasonable prices.

Lovely garden, the rooms are very basic but clean. The location is great, super close to the small restaurants and bars on the water and easy to get a tuktuk to the old town. Good for a night. Very friendly staff and laundry service.

The free laundry and bikes was a wonderful change from how things usually are while traveling. The Wi-Fi is the best I’ve used in Sri Lanka. the rooms were comfortable and the AC was divine.
