Gorgeous place with lovely views out to a stream, tea plantation and mountains. The host Nimal is very welcoming and cooks delicious food. Rooms are modern, spacious & clean. Easy 10-15min walk to the start of Adam’s peak. We would highly recommend staying here & wished we could have stayed longer!

At the top of Adam's Peak it is quite cold and windy, you will be walking up and sweating. In order not to freeze at the top while you wait for dawn, I advise you to take extra dry clothes to change at the top (there is a toilet there), a windbreaker and a thermos with hot water. And don't forget the sunscreen, as soon as the sun comes out it won't spare you. This is an amazing place call mountain Malaya, where Guru Rinpoche gave Tantric Teachings in the Tibetan tradition for the first time on earth. And also the place of Dakinis. Glad that you will be there. Make a wish for the benefit of all sentient beings(you are one of them ;)) ! :)

There is a lake and Tea Gardens nearby. However you cannot visit either of them. You can only drive around and take in the views.
What is quite nice is to climb up the Adams' Peak. The climb is good for those who like climbing and hiking.

We got to the top of Adam's peak to find a locked gate- very disappointing, as we couldn't get a view of the other side of the mountain! Apparently it is only open in season and I think this should be changed

This is a site every visitor to Sri Lanka should travel to. Which has historical, cultural value, hiking experience very difficult to find on most other tourist destinations. Can complete in one day (one night booking). Just about 4 hours travel from the capital, Colombo. All year cold temperature.

It's amazing area to travel.
It's amazing area to travel. Specially adam's peak is the most enjoyable hiking mountain with sri lankan traditional activities. All can enjoy with the mountain view and the waterfalls. There are lots of hotels and restaurants in that area with relevant prices.
My room was spacious and with an amazing balcony towards a garden behind which there is a river. At nights you hear all voices of nature. Rooms are clean and there is a wide big comfortable bed with an immense mosquito network. There is a kettle in a room, lovely designed mirror closet and even you have a hairdryer. The owner speaks perfect English and is very friendly and helpful. You can as well grab here a breakfast ( continental or Sri Lankan) as well as a traditional, delicious Sri Lanka meal.
Absolutely amazing place to stay near Adam’s peak. Nice, clean and spacious rooms with terrace and view on surrounding jungle. Owner is super kind and helpful, together with her mother they cook delicious food, I recommend rice and curry :) They will also provide sandwitches for trip to the mountains, egg hoppers for breakfast after you come back, arrange laundry and tuk tuk if needed. You can also have interesting conversations and get to know more about Sri Lanka❤️
need to say they we had once of the best dinner so far in whole Sri Lanka, the owner and chef in one person is super nice, we had a nice chit-chatting :) the place has a lovely common dining place, with a nice view into the garden. Rooms are old but fully equipped, good location if you want to go at Adam´s peak. It was our second time in Nallathanniya, first time at Queensark, but for the future we will definetly come back here :)
Good stay and start for the Sri pada hike. At first the owner didn't seem to be too friendly but turned out to be super helpful and nice, he made sure that I made it to my bus back to Hatton which leaves just in front of the building. Make sure you go to eat this really authentic Sri Lankan restaurant which is just across the street and I just loved the old lady who keeps it.
This very clean homestay is located at a beautifull and quit place ( and very near to adams peak). We had a great breakfast ( try the sri lankan one !) and our diners at the homestay were also delicious.
The owner does everthing to make the clients feel at home at his homestay !
A thank you to this nice family to let us feel home at vacation!

Perfect location close to the start of the Adam’s peak trail, and the host was fantastic. We had our best cup of tea in all of Sri Lanka here on arrival, made from tea from the area. Breakfast after our hike was great. Host offered a taxi and helped us catch the bus back to Hatton. Room was clean and spacious. Great stay!

The owner was a really good guy. He helped us with everything we needed. The accomodation was in a great location and the rooms were clean and tidy. The Kitchen made some of the best food we have had in Sri Lanka. The staff had great English which made our stay very easy.
Lovely owner - so helpful and gave great advice for climbing Adam's Peak (going a back route on the way there ensure you miss congestion when climbing the peak.
Breakfast was amazing. Dinner very delicious.
Rooms very spacious and super clean. Good wifi.
if you’re doing Adam’s peak, the location is absolutely amazing. it’s right near the start of the pilgrimage. the owner, Terrance, is incredibly sweet. he makes the place feel like home. always super attentive and very informative about anything you need.
This is probably the best hotel in Nallathaniya. I chose it for the group of international travelers, and we liked it. The food was OK. Adam's peak was very near. The owner helped us to arrange tuktuks to go around tea plantations. Very nice place.
Great location and super friendly staff, and we loved the restaurant with the beautiful view of Adam’s peak and surrounding jungle. The rooms were really big and the beds very comfortable.
We had a lovely stay here before climbing Adam's Peak - they even served us a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast afterwards before we headed back to the train station. Would highly recommend!
Mr Nimal's corporation is highly recommended. We had 2hrs extra stay for foc. All the best when you finish the construction of other rooms of the premises.
