Small, post-soviet and back in the past, city. Not much to do from my point of view. Was there for a business trip.
To eat, I highly reccomend a food court in Kostanay Plaza Mall - they have a variety to chose from. I particularly recomend "Korean House" restaurant there.
My wife and I used Medeu hotel as a place for a staycation, it has very spacious rooms with beautiful bathrooms and provide an amazing value for money. The place is nice and has a nice vibe with a hint of the Soviet legacy (in a good sense).
I like the location. Near Kostanay Plaza trade center, where I found shops, cinema, cafes and more. Also there was small shop near the hotel. You can buy there food, waters, snacks and etc.
Good hotel in all aspects except absence of elevator and pandus. Rooms are big, nice designed, with new furniture, large balcon, delicious food in restaurant, friendly staff
