The Drexel House was a private and calming escape after our safari. Property is lush and very well cared for. Staff are thoughtful and charming as well as skilled. Food was made with love and very tasty. (The butternut soup was among my favorite dishes of our entire trip across Kenya!) We even saw some incredible birds we had not encountered on safari while sitting outside during our stay. Location is very close to the Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center as well as good food options.

The checking process was smooth and fast. At first our room had an issue but Once we informed the receptionist she acted swiftly and changed us to a better room. Housekeeping lady did an exceptional job to keep our room clean. Overall all the staff at Gardens Excutive suites are friendly and always ready to help.

Ivy the host was very responsive - always contactable and quick to resolve any issues. The apartment was nicely decorated and well furnished with a comfortable bed, sofa, kitchenette and widescreen TV. My favourite aspect was the small balcony with beautiful views of the Ngong hills and surrounding area. Convenient location for ILRI with a really clean and well made footpath (unlike much of Nairobi!). Also walkable to Naivas supermarket and a good laundry. Not much else around though. The area was mostly quiet apart from a bit of street noise, except for Sunday mornings (and occasionally other times) as the church next door was very loud! The apartment was cleaned regularly and towels changed etc, which was really appreciated. Oh and great to have an elevator/life as the apartment is on the 6th floor. Felt quite safe, with security guards always around.
