Art Hotel Osaka Bay Tower, hotel in Osaka

Boasting a bar, Art Hotel Osaka Bay Tower offers accommodation in Osaka, 400 metres from Minato Kumin Centre and 700 metres from Isoji Central Park.

We used the train from the airport which comes onto the loop line and stops right by the hotel and was very easy to manage. We had booked a family room and it was one of the best such rooms we have ever stayed in: good size bunkbeds, space to sit by the window, kitchenette, comfy beds. You have to pay extra for fancy breakfast on the upper restaurant, but we found the breakfast in Sara's downstairs offered good coffee and a good selection of food, and you can borrow books to look at whilst there. The staff were very helpful. The complex around the hotel offers family mart, pharmacy, book shop, icecream parlour, we at at the pancake cafe too and this was tasty and reasonably priced. Visited the onsen and the gym, both very good, and kids enjoyed the sort of fake grass village square for running about before bed. Very easy to use overground and subway trains from here and we enjoyed Osaka very much. Would visit again!

Premier Hotel CABIN PRESIDENT Osaka, hotel in Osaka

Conveniently located directly in front of Minami-Morimachi Station and a 3-minute walk from JR Osakatemmangu Station, Premier Hotel -CABIN PRESIDENT- Osaka opened in April 2017.

Excellent location. The property was very clean, functional and tastefully designed. The breakfast was quite good as well. I wish the rooms were slightly bigger but other than that there were no complaints. A supermarket, 7-11 and many eateries around made it an excellent location. The train station being adjacent was the cherry on the top. Special mention for excellent staff.

FAQs about hotels in Osaka

A Stronghold of Japanese Culture

At the meeting point of river and sea, huge Osaka combines forward-thinking development and sure-footed tradition. This is symbolised in its temple-like, 16th century castle, guarded by ramparts and enlivened by vibrant spring cherry blossom. Dominating the surrounding skyline is Osaka Business Park, a reminder of the city’s strong role in the Japanese economy.

However, the most striking skyscraper is the Umeda Sky Building - 2 towers connected by a rooftop terrace offering far-reaching views. The nearby Osaka and Umeda train stations are linked by underground shopping centres, while the shops of Shinsaibashi’s America Village appeal to a younger crowd. Dōtonbori’s neon lights promote more shops, as well as restaurants considered the best in Osaka. In a city touted as Japan’s culinary capital, that’s quite an accolade.

The Tsūtenkaku tower overlooks Tennōji Park, home of the Osaka Municipal Museum of Art. Another nearby park houses Shitennō-ji, one of Japan’s oldest Buddhist temples.

The Kyocera Dome Osaka is a shrine of baseball, and more thrills are at waterfront Universal Studios Japan, the country’s 2nd largest theme park. Also by the sea is Kansai International Airport, on its own artificial island.

The capsule hotel was invented in Osaka, and alongside this type of accommodation, Booking.com also offers luxury hotels with pools, cheap hostels and traditional ryokans.

    Very busy but not intimidating.

Very busy but not intimidating. People are so respectful, friendly and funny! Amazing city with so much to see and do with easy access to rest of Japan. Visited Kyoto and Nara which both felt quite different to Osaka. Google maps excellent for finding way around subway system. You can use Smart Phones now for the subway which is handier than IC cards. Universal was incredibly busy and I wouldn’t recommend unless you are determined to queue for hours.

Great to be used as a base to visiting Kyoto and Nara, if you don't like switching hotels every other day. Transportation is quite efficient to these cities and also within Osaka. The city itself is a good surprise with lots to do, a castle within the city limits, and amazing food and shopping options.

Osaka is a huge city with multiple options for shopping, culture and food. Kyoto and Kobe are just around the corner, so it is an alternative base for visiting these cities. While tourists tend to concentrate in the areas of Namba and Osaka castle, other areas are very authentic.

Osaka is a really vibrant city that has a large variety of great food that's affordable and delicious. The Osaka people are a lot friendlier, warmer and more easy-going than the people in Tokyo/ Yokohama the Kanto area. No wonder most of the famous Japanese comedians are from Osaka! I have Japanese root but I grew up overseas, so I'm not fluent in Japanese and I was in Japan to learn more about the culture, tradition and people. Throughout my trip in Japan, I feel that Osaka is the city I like the most and can envision myself living in one day if I decide to move to Japan. I felt welcome in most of the places I went to in Osaka. Everything is of high quality and yet very affordable.

Spend less time in Tokyo and more time in Osaka, the pace is shorter in Osaka and food and shopping is much cheaper. Osaka is more traditional from what I could tell and gave more of an authentic experience than Tokyo.

The public bath on the 10th floor is amazing. The Lobby has various relaxing events throughout the day like a vinyl session from 15-16, and the staff was really helpful, both in a friendly and professional manner. The rooms themselves are appropriately sized for japanese standards and are very clean. If you want to experience the nightlife in Osaka I recommend this hotel, because it is within walkingdistance of Dotonbori, and you can get back in all night.

Really good hotel and the location is ideal. It's really close to lots of transport links at Umeda and there are so many restaurants, bars and shops nearby. We only had one night here before leaving Japan, but we both wished we had stayed here for our initial three nights the first time we arrived in Osaka. The room we were given was quite a bit larger than most other hotels we stayed at during our trip, and the staff were all really friendly and helpful.

If you are looking for a peaceful stay that is not too far from the main areas, this is the place. The Chillax trip in Osaka couldn't be better as mainly we spent our time in Osaka city with 2 subway lines that cover most of attractions. Small area of reception compared to many guests but when you went to your floor luckily was not too noisy. The bed was comfortable and the room size is bigger than many standard japanese hotels.
