Though it is a little far from Hakata, transportation is very convenient. Also the rooms are slightly larger than the ones in the inner city... The hotel has a great attached onsen (sentō) that is free for hotel guests... The room prices are very reasonable... The area around the hotel has a more small-town feel about it - very relaxing compared to the hustle-bustle of Tenjin or Hakata Ekimae... Finally there are a lot of mom & pop-type eateries that seem to pop up out of nowhere when it gets dark. If you know some Japanese, it is very likely you will be able to strike up a conversation with the locals, and this greatly enhances the travel experience.
