Breakfast was excellent, made by friendly staff. Nice to have self-service snack/drink items at other times. Great lake view in eating & lounge areas and all bedrooms. English spoken was an unexpected plus. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake.

The house is amazing, with multiple rooms for a large traveling party. Great shared living spaces for our entire group to hang out. Place is very well-furnished with appliances and everything you could need around the house. Amazing view of the city and the mountains from the balcony. Super family friendly they had the outdoor climbing net and a tone of toys and books that made the home super welcoming. The beds were so soft I thought I was sleeping on a cloud. The location of the house was in a residential neighbourhood in the suburbs of Nagano city, so it was very quiet and quite safe. Access to the house was quite easy from Kirihara station (approx. 7-10 minutes on foot). The house itself was spacious, the kitchen was well equipped, and the futon beds were comfortable. The owner was very friendly and helpful (he spoke English and Italian on top of Japanese), and as he is a wine connaisseur and importer, we were also able to buy and taste some excellent wines during our stay. The owner also provided us with coffee, herb tea and apples (locally grown).

This property was renovated from an outdoor school accommodations and opened in 2014 and is located on the shores of Lake Nojiri in Nagano Prefecture.

The moment you walk in, you feel right at home. There’s outdoor seating, a welcoming cafe, and a small storefront. The check in desk is set back a little. There are staff that speak English. The facilities are very clean and the futons are comfortable. There is a refrigerator/freezer to keep food that bring. The restaurant/cafe is delicious. We made dinner reservations and also breakfast. Dinner had a good variety. Breakfast is set menu. There is free water available.
