The room I had was excellent: top floor, very quiet, very large, great view of the beach and coast. The hotel onsen is large and well equipped with a warm pool as well as hot. You can walk straight out of the hotel onto the beach, which is very sandy.

Staff helpful, i asked for food recommendations and whatever they recommended did not fail. Rooms comfy. Onsen was great. First time in a hotel with free ramen at night, popsicles during day and yoghurt drink during the day! Parking was clear and it was reassuring to know i can have multiple entries/exits.

Miyazaki is incredible. The people are friendly and kind.
Miyazaki is incredible. The people are friendly and kind. The scenery is breathtaking. The food is amazing. I recommend the local foods like chicken nanban and jidori, which you can get at most restaurants and izakayas. There's also a lot of citrus themed snacks and drinks, as hyuganatsu is a popular fruit. Miyazaki is also famous for beef and mango.
It's also a great place for people who like history and legends. Many of the shrines are very old. There are many "power spots" related to the Shinto legends and gods.
There are mountains, beaches, rivers, shrines, museums, cafes - all kinds of places to visit. I highly recommend visiting Miyazaki if you can.
Regarding transportation, it is one of those places where renting a car is ideal. It can be a little difficult to travel around without a car here. It can be done, but if you don't have a lot of time to spend on public transportation I would recommend getting a car. Additionally, Miyazaki is a popular place for motorcycles, especially in the countryside on the winding mountain roads.
Overall, Miyazaki is a great place to visit!

The hotel is just next to the train station which is super convenient. It is the best JR hotel that I've stayed so far. The room is big and spacious. It is pretty new looking bright and clean. Couldn't ask for anything more. Execellent!

I’ve been here four times.
I’ve been here four times. Great spot for relaxing and chilling. Beach is a hop skip and a jump away.
Weather is of a tropical warm nature.
If you’re travelling from Miyazaki airport by train, it’s a bit complicated as you have to change and wait for another train from Nichinan line. As for returning to the airport, it’s a bit confusing which train to board at the changeover platform.

Miyazaki is a wonderful city.
Miyazaki is a wonderful city. It's like a different side of Japan with such natural scenic views. Lush greenery, blue waters, flowers and friendly people await you. One thing is that the nice spots are difficult and or take long to get to, so driving is a good choice. This is not to deter those who don't drive as there are tons of places to visit, waterfalls, gorges and so on. One should consider some of the places not advertised. If you can spend many days then you can visit one place at a time to soak in more. Visitors can get a one-day bus pass which saves a great lot of money.
Some places to visit are Florante, Heiwadai Park, Amagajo Park, Takachiho Gorge (go very early if you want to do the boat ride) Sekinoo Falls, Nagata Gorge, Sun Messe Nichinan, Udo Jingu Shrine, Aoshima and Aya City with the suspension Bridge.
Places to eat include: Ogura Honten and Maruman which are close to and in Nishitachi respectively. Namban and Charcoal Chicken are two delicious dishes which can be enjoyed there. Don't leave without trying them!

We have limited days of holiday, we drive all day long from Fukuoka to Miyazaki and the main purpose is to visit Sun Messe Nichinan. I have never thought that such a popular tourism access area is closed on Wednesday. Public Access Tourism Area should have open all day long... We are very disappointed and we also found other tourist faced the same issues.

It's a lovely small city which is perfect for a 3-day trip.
It's a lovely small city which is perfect for a 3-day trip. There are trains and buses that allow you to travel around the city easily. I stayed there for 3 days and went to see the stunning views nearby, such as Takachiho and SunMesse Nichinan.
I LOVE this hotel. It was my first hotel in Japan so it was a great introduction to Japan. The staff are very friendly and helpful, there is an onsen inside the hotel which I LOVED. Do keep in mind that they do not allow individuals with tattoos inside the onsen. The breakfast is Japanese style traditional breakfast where you sit on the floor (you can also sit on a chair if you want to as they are availabe) and the food is wonderful. The room is a little small but I think that is expected seeing as it is Japan but it was great value for money!
The view! Spacious kitchen, hangout at dining tables, sofa or at garden facing sea view. Great place to consider if traveling with a group of friends.
It is located in the middle of all sightseeing places. Far from city.
It is best to have a car as the elevation is high from the main road to the home. That is the price to pay for a great seaview.
Bedrooms are spacious, and the beds are comfortable.
A home I recommend and surely will return whenever I plan for a trip to Miyazaki.
B&B with 5 star hotel standards with a very helpful owner. Felt like home. It is very clean, good breakfast with options if you have some restrictions. Location is perfect, very close to bus stop and train station. Lots of activities you can do like surfing and yoga. They can give you a card to use Onsen in Holiday inn which is normally 1000 JPY, and you can use it only for 400 JPY.
1. Many accessories provided.
2. Good location as it is in the heart of the downtown and is a 10-minute walk from the train station.
3. Sound proof is good as the hotel is just next to the main road.
4. A plastic bag is used to protect the TV remote control (supposed it is replaced for each guest)
I personally like the arrangement of bathroom and toilet in hotel room. The comfortable bed allows me to rest well. There is a Lawson convenience store downstairs. The view from the hotel is really spectacular, especially the sunrise and sunset times.
Location is very central to restaurants and nightlife.
Simple and good amenities.
Spa was OK.
Breakfast was great with a wide selection of foods.
Convenient store downstairs
Airport bus next to hotel , big bonus.
Friendly staff.
It’s not a hotel. It’s a guest house so be prepared. It’s nice and cosy with a very nice view of the sea from the room. Very interesting experience for me this trip (while sitting in the stairs) 😅
Amazing spot for anyone looking have a surfing experience in Japan. Rooms are clean. Bikes and surfboards are great quality. But most importantly, Sok and Emi are awesome hosts.
Property was great. One of the best beds I have slept in yet while being in Japan. It was really close to the station and the stores. Our room looked just like the photos.
I always chose to stay at this hotel when I visited Miyazaki. It’s a great location and also I loved the breakfast! There is a variety of foods and I always enjoyed it :)
The Sakura Sauna and the Onsen were very comfortable. The room too. The most nicest thing of the Hotel was the personal. VERY KIND AND SUPER HELPFULL.THANK YOU VERY MUCH
