Nicely located, very quiet ryokan next to a Buddhist temple. While it doesn't privde the highest standard, it has al the amenities you may need, an onsen, good food, comfy futon and nice tatami flooring. Most importantly, it's very peaceful and quiet, and provides a good base for trips around the mountains.
A word of advice, a car is a must-have.

What a great place to stay! We stayed in the Moon room, large room with very comfortable bed and a lovely deck outside to sit and enjoy the mountain sounds.
The shared bathroom was really nice and comfortable too. I was slightly worried about sharing a bathroom but it was totally fine. It’s large, modern and there’s lots of amenities.
