The room was huge compared to what we got used to in Tokyo. It was clean and they gave us kimonos, which was pretty cool.
We had breakfast included: it was buffet with all kinds of foods, nothing stellar, but very good, I really enjoyed it, my wife a little less I would give an 8 to breakfast!
The position was quite close to a bus stop which was pretty close to the train station. You could also walk if you want to

Overall experience was good, but public transport stops before shops closure. Day ticket is really day ticket and doesn't cover evening; as the loop bus stop at 18:00. This is really inconvenient and limited my sight seeing window/range.

I love Kanazawa as it is not a large city however, has many interesting sights and activities available to visitors. Many lovely shrines, the rebuilt castle & stunning Kenrokuen Gardens are only the beginning. The historic Samurai and Geisha areas are well worth visiting.
Travel connections to Kanazawa are very good and the train station has great facilities and also has the bus station behind it to make travel easier.

Kanazawa enabled us to explore at a slower pace to previous places visited - Tokyo, Osaka & Kyoto. Less people, less concrete and more green space was embraced by all our family. I felt a got a more authentic experience of Japan, definitely recommend!
A highlight for us was the restaurant Coil, were you make your own sushi rolls & dive into an extensive range of hot & cold teas.
Kanazawa Machiya Kenroku was an amazing experience & a highlight out of all the places we stayed.

The city offered a contrast to the big cities .
The city offered a contrast to the big cities . Nicely preserved neighbourhoods and gardens. But the locals are showing strains of having too many tourists.
The ratio in Tokyo is around 1 tourists to 50 locals, Kanazawa is closer 1 to 15 I estimate. Certainly Locals in Kanawaza were less welcoming. 2 restaurants added unexpected costs after the food was served, caviat emptor.

Perfectly located to enjoy the neighboring Ōmichō Food Market, Hotel Pacific is a good base to explore Kanazawa at a very affordable price.
My room was rather small, but I was out until late and only went back to sleep, so that wasn't an issue. It was perfectly clean, with a large window and every thing I needed.
The staff spoke English and was friendly and helpful.
I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone who is on a budget, as it offers excellent value for money.
Probably the best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel, anywhere. They have a Japanese style breakfast with many different options. The hotel restaurant is also good (though expensive). Facilities are good, though I didn't use the onsen. Location is perfect, really central to most Kanazawa attractions. Beds are comfy and many pillows were provided. Staff spoke better English than in most Japanese hotels. Hotel is really beautifully decorated.
I like these Tokyu STAY hotels. We stayed in one in Tokyo and we plan to stay in their Osaka location too. The rooms are exceptionally clean and the beds are very comfortable. The washing machine in the room was a bonus.
In Kanazawa, the hotel is perfectly located. Three stops on the bus from the station and a hop, skip and a jump to the Oyama shrine and Omicho market. Plenty of eateries around too.
SOKI Kanazawa is an amazing hotel, very elegant and modern design at a traditional Japanese setting rooms.
The staff was very helpful and the public bath was nice as well.
But I booked a dinner at the restaurant in the hotel, Sorasio and it was one of the best dinner experiences I had.
Comfortable hotel, varied and delicious food, friendly staff and very helpful in looking after our belongings when we couldn't return to the hotel due to the Japanese earthquake on January 1 2024, close to Kanazawa train station, just a 5 minute walk. our family loves this hotel.
