Really nice hotel in a beautiful place with a great view. Being in place with no ferries exactly to this spot keeps this town remote from most of tourists crowds, hidden pearl. Recommending big time!

Now we get to the amazing dinner at the Chef restaurant on the beautiful terrace , they don't have a Michelin restaurant star but I think they deserve it .

Lago di Como is surely a special place, However Veleso is a shiny gem.
The view of the lake and the surranding mountins were breathtaking.
From the Hotel Bellavista dining room and our bedroom the sunsets and sunrises took another dimension. It was like a painting costantly changing. Colors, clouds and scenary were mixing and iwhat it were always emerging was a beatiful canvas with the lake at his best.
Veleso we will come back!!

This place is meant for total relax and people that enjoy mountains and nature to be explored by foot (numerous sign posted trails are available) or mountain bike or race bike as roads in the area are a bikers paradise. The village counts just 120 inhabitants so can be a bit freaky at night. It has only one "alimentari" or small supermarket where you can buy stuff if you prefer renting a small flat instead of staying in a hotel.
Though we arrived very late the staff was kind enough to wait us and show the room. The rooms were big with balcony and beautiful view of Lake como. Breakfast was good (separately paid) but had to pre-order. The lady was kind enough to address our every request. Located in a hilltop this family run hotel gives a good rural Italian vibes, which we absolutely loved.
It was a very nice experience overall.

Just an information for the potential guests, there is a very difficult to get to the hotel, a narrow steep road full of turns, the are also dangerous places here.You need to have a good car or motorcycle and be very careful. The host very nice and helpful..
The property was perfect for our stay near Lake Como! it had a beautiful view of the lake (the best in my opinion) and a restaurant which was fantastic - the food was amazing! book in advance to get a good table with the best views.

The atmosphere in the hotel and their hosts is fantastic. They really did everything to make us feel at home and we're very helpful with every request or question we had. The view from the hotel is breathtaking and it is very refreshing to be far from the chaos at the lake, especially in high season.

It's a long challenging drive up the mountain, but after a day at the lake, which is busy and crowded, it's refreshing to come in Veleso, a very quiet village. Thanks Giorgio for being such an enthusiastic host.
We loved our stay at Bellavista and plan to come back one day! Everything was wonderful - the views, the peaceful location, and of course the fantastic family running the hotel and restaurant.
We treated ourselves to the degustation menu, and it was the most beautiful food and location we have ever eaten. Grazie Longoni family!
I really liked the host, he was really friendly. He took his time to give us a tour of the hotel. Moreover, everytime we left the hotel he recommended us to go somewhere and explained us how to get there. The breakfast was really nice and the view from the mountain on the lake was spectacular. I will come back if I can.
Very quite and nice renovated hotel in the top of the moutain with view to Como Lake (from the breakfast area). The owners are suuuuper nice and waited for us until late and helped us with everything we needed! Big thanks!! I def recommend this place :)
We booked the night on our way and got there just at the perfect time, sunset time, and we were so lucky to get there. we met a lovely family and an amazing hotel with breathtaking view.
Dinner was super great as well. staff was lovely and warm.
The views from the bedroom and the restaurant terrace are absolutely splendid. Worth of driving up in the hills. The village hotel is located in might be running out of its habitants, but evening walk through the village is absolutely advised.
