The staff were incredibly friendly, especially the gent working the bar in the evening. Our first visit to both Trapani & Sicily we have now decided we are going to return to this hotel annually. Perfect for a relaxing break away from the town (took about 20 minutes to walk to town).

perfect facility, nice beach, pool, staff but 3 km from center
Kite-shaped Trapani makes an impressive sight from lofty Mount Erice, connected to the peninsula below by cable car. On a clear day, the mountain also offers views of Tunisia - one destination of ferries from Trapani Port, alongside Cagliari, Pantelleria and the offshore Egadi Islands.
Overlooking the port is the old town, where arched doorways on narrow streets open onto many cheap apartments and B&Bs on Booking.com. Shabby chic façades sit alongside historic churches, such as understated Trapani Cathedral, somewhat lost amid elegant Corso Vittorio Emanuele, where pavement cafes sit in front of pastel-coloured buildings and metal balconies.
At the tip of the peninsula is the fortress-like Tower of Ligny lighthouse, now housing the Prehistory and Sea Museum. The Colombaia Castle protects the port from an island to the south, while in the other direction the sweeping coastline passes some beachfront hotels with swimming pools.
Villa Margherita Park offers shade from the Mediterranean sun, and Triton’s Fountain graces a neighbouring square. The simple façade of the Basilica of Maria Santissima Annunziata hides the treasures within, including a statue of the Madonna of Trapani which is at the heart of the Easter ‘Misteri’ celebrations.
Between the city and Trapani-Birgi Airport, historic windmills sit beside salt pans. The Salt Museum provides details of this major industry.
Trapani is a great "normal" town- not too touristy.
Trapani is a great "normal" town- not too touristy. There are great restaurants, good shopping, and you can reach a lot of wonderful places such as Erice, San Vito lo Capo, the Egadi Islands, Marsala and loads more. There are beaches, churches, ports...a bit of everything but at a relaxed level.

Perfect town for a short break or for a beach holiday, the town is in between a harbor and the beach. The city centre is vibrant, lots of restaurants and bars. The surrounding areas worth a visit if you are interested in arts, nature or simply laze on the beach.

Trapani is lovely town nicely laid out with good public transport - although beware as the busses stop running by about 21:30 in the evening and none on a Sunday. A good selection of shops for those wanting to indulge.
The old town is stunning and a must to visit both during the day and particularly in the evening when it totally comes alive with an abundance of restaurants to suit every taste and pocket.

Surprisingly quaint with lots to do.
Surprisingly quaint with lots to do. Great sandy beaches, lots of shops and amazing restaurants and bars in the old town. Also provides easy access to lots of other places to explore like Erice via cable car, Egadi Islands by ferry and Marsala, Castellemare del Golfo by train and Palermo by bus. It wasn't overly touristy either and got a really nice, more authentic experience here compared to some of the other cities in Sicily. Highly recommend! 3-4 days would be perfect

It was our second trip to Sicily in October.
It was our second trip to Sicily in October. This is great time to visit the island. Trapani is really beatiful, great Old Town, fine cuisine (busiata alla Trapanese !!!). Great trips: San Vito Lo Capo, Erice (!!!), Egadi Islands, salinas...
However, too much garbage on the side streets...
This apartment was amazing, the best stay of our trip. The host, Luca, was extremely helpful in sharing helpful information and recommendations. We ate at three of his recommended restaurants and loved them. He thought of every detail in the apartment and provided many extras, such as beach towels, umbrellas, coffee, tea, water and special treats. Parking was convenient and close by. We highly recommend this apartment which is in a great location!
This hotel is right on the sea and it was wonderful to hear the waves and look out at the water from our room. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was large. Breakfast was the best we had in Sicily, nice options and able to serve ourselves. Close to center of town and easy spot to take day trips from. Parking was free and right out front. Front desk staff were very helpful in arranging a taxi and printing out our tickets for the ferry.
Centrally located, with adjacent bus stops to everywhere (Erice; Palermo Airport), walking distance to the harbor ferry to Favignana as well as the historical town, Palazzo Serraino is an ancestral home turned hotel run by its family. The owners (and their friendly dogs) are most welcoming, responsive and very helpful.
Our quiet large room and modern bathroom was immaculate and well appointed w kitchenette and excellent wifi.
Fantastic apartment on a great location. all new as the ad says, really beautifully decorated. a wonderful place to make your base for travels around Sicily. Everything you need is catered for, and to a very high standard. I stayed in a few places priory to this one, as my hols got extended, and I have to say this was definitely the best. a home from home, which is always perfect! Really great hosts only too happy to help.
We had an amazing stay in Trapani, Sicily! Sandra, the owner, was incredibly friendly and made sure we had a pleasant experience. The apartment was new and lovely, with all the amenities we needed. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. Sandra's recommendations for exploring Trapani were invaluable. Overall, I highly recommend staying with Sandra for an unforgettable experience in Trapani.
Perfect location for exploring Trapani. Our room was beautiful, with comfortable large bed, good shower and Ornella as hostess was amazing. Ornella gave recommendations of where to eat - best food we have had since arrival in Sicily. Breakfast is recommended - Bacon, eggs, Sicilian bread and lots of choice of sweet pastries. If we ever return to Trapani, we will not hesitate to return here to stay.
The view of the water from the dining/living room was even better than the pictures. Open the doors to the balcony and hear the waves. Like a beach resort even though you are in a city. Bed was comfortable and kitchen reasonably well equipped. Nice table to eat and play games. Great location a stones throw from the main sights in old town of Trapani. Several restaurants within 2 blocks.
We had a great stay at Ai Lumi! The hotel was very communicative ahead of time and helped us figure out parking in the city, and check in was very smooth. The room was spacious and had nice touches, and we took advantage of the 15% discount in the attached restaurant where we had an excellent dinner and a great breakfast (included) before heading out the next day.
The property was so beautiful and well taken care of. Sandra went above and beyond to accommodate and check in about our stay. She gave us a map and let us know all the places to visit and even went and got us towels when we needed them for the beach. She is amazing and so is Francesco! I love the morning breakfast. also they have the best shower!
It is very stylish with a beautifully restored ceiling and amazing flooring. Like staying in a palazzo. Super responsive owner who made us feel so welcomed. It is all the personal touches like having toiletries, good quality coffee, a bottle of wine, and a lot of bottled water that make this our best apartment yet in Sicily.
The hotel is recently renovated in a very large old building. Our room was very generous with an excellent bathroom off it.
Breakfast was one of the best we had during our week's trip to Western Sicily. The location was perfect for wandering in the old part of the city. A very large public car park is nearby.
Beautiful building, spacious room, and perfect location. Travel cot available for our 9-month-old baby. Easy parking next to the hotel either free in some streets or charged in others. Very easy to pay your parking slot using the "Easypark" application (usable through almost the whole Sicily).
Incredible service from Marco. High quality of everything in the apartment, like hotel standard. Seeing the sunset from the terrace with a glass of wine beats everything. We have travelled most of Sicily, and Trapani and Favignana are our favorite places. And this place was just perfect :-)
Everything was immaculate!!!! Maria was the absolute best, she made sure that we knew everything regarding the best places to see, and eat in Trapani. She also spoke really good English. Thank you so much for making our mini vacation so memorable. We hope to visit again soon!
Very friendly staff, they complied with everything. The interior design of the hotel is perfectly harmonized. High-quality breakfast, coffee as you would expect in Italy! Very good location, in 5-7 minutes you are in the historic Centro, in another 5 on the beach.
This was our favourite place during our Sicily trip. We extended our stay and still wished we could have stayed longer. We loved the gardens, villa, pool and our host! There's so much to see and do in or near Trapani, we can't wait to come back.
The hotel was decorated beautifully, the breakfast and coffee was so tasty, the staff were super helpful and welcoming especially Clara who helped from start to finish, helping in anyway she could. Would definitely stay again if I go to Trapani.
They offer me a upgrade and i was really greatfull for it. Apart from that the space is super beautiful and clean , the rooms are amazing and they provide everything needed, definitly the best place o stayed in my trip in sicily.
This was cozy house in small village 6 km from Trapani. Nice hosts. Very clean. Excellent place to discover west Sicilia by car. You must by ready to get all facilities by car: beach, store, restaurant
