The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. For example, although we arrived on a Wednesday when the restaurant is officially closed, the proprietor nevertheless prepared us a tasty pasta meal. At breakfast an omelet was offered as well as a pretty comprehensive continental breakfast.
The market (Thursdays) and the Museo della Carta (photos) are well worth visiting.

Location was perfect to stay in Toscolano Maderno. Immense garden outside the room with two relaxing swimming pool. The place is quiet and in 2/3 minutes away from the main street with restaurants and bars.

Like many of the towns and villages around Lake Garda, Toscolano Maderno has old sites and buildings as well as new. The old town is picturesque but in the summer a major attraction is obviously the lakeside beach with camping sites. (We visited in April during a cool but sunny spell.)
It is a good base for visiting other towns on the lake due to its location and ferry connections.

It´s a nice town, with some lovely beaches and in a beautiful setting. It is also a good location to explore the area since it´s easy to drive to e.g. Verona or even Venice or Milan, and there are lots of beautiful spots to visit around the lake - I especially recommend a visit to Limone sul Garda, with the Limonaia museum and a wonderful medieval "centro storico" and to Simione, but there are also some beautiful trails to walk, hike or drive in the area and not too long a drive up to the Dolomites. Toscolano-Maderno is basically a tourist town during the season, but make sure to visit the churches there, especially the gorgeous Chiesa parrocchiale dei Santi Pietro e Paolo, which looks unassuming from the outside but is absolutely gorgeous once you enter. If you like nature walks, the Valle delle Cartiere is lovely (right above T-M).

I am not a neutral person to judge Maderno. I am visiting this place since I am a child and feel so much love for this little Village, that my view is blinded by pink color clouds :-) I wished this could be my home when I am retired.

Wonderful locaction on the lake, which we used as a base to travel to different towns each day. Car and passenger ferries both stop at Toscolano Moderno, making it really accessible for those without their own car. A lovely selection of lakeside restaurants here too, serving some delicious food.

I really recommend to take a walk from the main road to the papermillmuseum. After visiting the museum, don't forget to continue the walk uphill to see more of the history of paper making in toscalano

Beautiful small hotel, very near to the shore of Lake Garda, with extremely nice, friendly, polite, helpful owners. Breakfast was served outside in the garden, which was very peaceful and civilised. There was a good choice from the buffet and boiled or scrambled eggs were also offered. We were also offered drinks in the evening and local restaurant bookings were made on our behalf, by the owners. The room was very clean and well laid out, we really enjoyed our stay here. We would definitely visit again.
Located by the promenade, big balcony with shade, so when it was too hot to go outside during the day, you could just sit in the shade in your own balcony with a nice breeze and watch down to the promenade and see coming and going ferries and boats. Many good restaurants and cafes close by. Hotel breakfast was delicous and had lots of options. Garden is very beautiful and also private parking was very nicely organized.
The hotel is pretty old, but clean and fresh. Check in was simple, check out also, all people on check in and check out spoke on German, was a plus for us. Swimming pool was clean and there is a bubbling pool as well, you can switch it on with the buttons. The breakfast was ok, nothing special.
The hotel is not so far away from the center of Maderno, beaches are like 10-15 minutes away.
Absolutely everything! The recently remodeled hotel was perfect in every way. The decorating, the fixtures were top quality. The couple who manage the property were so professional, attentive and welcoming. And the breakfast was the best we’ve had in our 4 weeks in Italy. We just can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our time there.

First of all the view is amazing! The rooms of the hotel are next to the golf and to wake up with such a great view in the morning is so beautiful. The breakfast was really good and the rooms and hotel are pieces of art. The hotel has parking in a beautiful garden. The staff was very helpful. I truly recommend.
The staff was exceptional. they made our stay comfortable and easy! The hotel is better than on photos. it has 2 swimming pools, amazing olive tree garden with few tables and a communal terrace with a stunning view on the 3rd floor where you can eat and enjoy the sunset.

We had a very pleasant stay with very kind hosts, who met all our expectations. The hotel has a nostalgic touch with its robust, old style furniture and a lot of space. The garden is wonderful and the quirky dogs and free chickens make you smile.

This is a very atmospheric and unique hotel. it is run by an elderly couple. There is private parking and a huge garden. There are many vintage and retro elements, you have to stay there.
The private beach is really nice. Simple, but has a great view and was a pleasant surprise when we arrived to the hotel which helped us relax after a long day of driving.
