Location was perfect to stay in Toscolano Maderno. Immense garden outside the room with two relaxing swimming pool. The place is quiet and in 2/3 minutes away from the main street with restaurants and bars.

Like many of the towns and villages around Lake Garda, Toscolano Maderno has old sites and buildings as well as new. The old town is picturesque but in the summer a major attraction is obviously the lakeside beach with camping sites. (We visited in April during a cool but sunny spell.)
It is a good base for visiting other towns on the lake due to its location and ferry connections.

It´s a nice town, with some lovely beaches and in a beautiful setting. It is also a good location to explore the area since it´s easy to drive to e.g. Verona or even Venice or Milan, and there are lots of beautiful spots to visit around the lake - I especially recommend a visit to Limone sul Garda, with the Limonaia museum and a wonderful medieval "centro storico" and to Simione, but there are also some beautiful trails to walk, hike or drive in the area and not too long a drive up to the Dolomites. Toscolano-Maderno is basically a tourist town during the season, but make sure to visit the churches there, especially the gorgeous Chiesa parrocchiale dei Santi Pietro e Paolo, which looks unassuming from the outside but is absolutely gorgeous once you enter. If you like nature walks, the Valle delle Cartiere is lovely (right above T-M).

I am not a neutral person to judge Maderno. I am visiting this place since I am a child and feel so much love for this little Village, that my view is blinded by pink color clouds :-) I wished this could be my home when I am retired.

Wonderful locaction on the lake, which we used as a base to travel to different towns each day. Car and passenger ferries both stop at Toscolano Moderno, making it really accessible for those without their own car. A lovely selection of lakeside restaurants here too, serving some delicious food.

I really recommend to take a walk from the main road to the papermillmuseum. After visiting the museum, don't forget to continue the walk uphill to see more of the history of paper making in toscalano

The hotel is bigger than expected from pictures and reviews here. The lady at the reception is very nice. The pool was clean and not crowded.
The garden is very beautiful with classic Italian atmosphere. The hotel is 5 minutes away from a beautiful beach.
Room service was good and more than needed clean towels were provided. The mattress and pillows were comfortable.
The view from the room was spectacular combining the mountain, pool, nearby church and lake Garda.
the hotel is situated just off the front in the town which gives it more serenity, the decor and feel of the hotel is very good, it is clean and has good air conn and the pool is great.
the staff were exceptional and just so welcoming and freindly, very attentative.
The breakfast was fabulous with coffee made and hot food cooked to order as well as the usuall continental fare. there are some good bars and restaraunts nearby too.
The interior is fantastic. I don't know why the other reviews are calling for a refurbishment!! Surely you booked it based on photos too??
Anyway, I loved it.. was a time warp but in a great way. The morning sun blasts into tue bedrooms (once the curtains are open) and into the breakfast room. Lots of options s for breakfast, the lake is underneath the hotel pretty much, so you can nip for a dip easy!!

First of all the view is amazing! The rooms of the hotel are next to the golf and to wake up with such a great view in the morning is so beautiful. The breakfast was really good and the rooms and hotel are pieces of art. The hotel has parking in a beautiful garden. The staff was very helpful. I truly recommend.
The hotel is on the perfect location, small hotel beach is great for kids and not crowded. Breakfast was nice, room and balcony were completely fine for out 5 days stay. All facilities are clean and nice.
Staff is very friendly and polite.
All in all it was a great vacation.

The location is superb with beach access only seconds away. We also absolutely loved the terrace breakfasts, the view and ambient is magical.
Additionally, the staff is all very friendly and makes you feel welcome in the hotel. Would definitely return here some day.
We had a very pleasant stay with very kind hosts, who met all our expectations. The hotel has a nostalgic touch with its robust, old style furniture and a lot of space. The garden is wonderful and the quirky dogs and free chickens make you smile.
The place where this hotel is located is perfect if you just want to enjoy, relax, stay in the hotel and enjoy the lake water.

Quiet setting, very clean and small comfortable hotel, the pool and breakfast are the best things. Prosecco at breakfast and very sumptuous.

This is a very atmospheric and unique hotel. it is run by an elderly couple. There is private parking and a huge garden. There are many vintage and retro elements, you have to stay there.

The hotel is only a short walk to the beach and promenade. Its brand new so super clean, well fitted out and comfortable 👍👍.
