Very good location, beautiful view, very kind people
Tirano was a lovely little town. Quaint streets and alleyways called to be explored. Unfortunately very poor communication about no train service meant we missed connecting trains which cost us additional money.

We enjoyed wandering around the older parts of town. The cathedral was beautiful and open to view inside. The entire town is walkable, no need to hire a car. There was a variety of places to eat and drink. The location of the train station made it easy to come and go.

Tirano is a very nice town.
Tirano is a very nice town. It is very well connected with other parts of Italy by train. Also, the main attraction is the Bernina Express, which departs hourly from the Swiss Train Station, which is opposite the TrenItalia train station. I would recommend a day in Tirano, to get to know the town.

What a gorgeous little town right by the rushing river.
What a gorgeous little town right by the rushing river. Fascinating buildings and great food ( had a great pizza at LETI DI PILONI AXEL by the station. Only stayed overnight after coming from Chur on the Bernina line then on to Rome but could easily have spent a week here. Everything walkable.

Lovely town in the valley, surrounded by beautiful wooded mountains. The old town is great and the connection to the Rhaetian Railway and the beautiful Bernina line are not to be missed!

It was a beautiful experience.
We stayed at Ostello del Castello and had three wonderful nights at one of the most kindness hosts Andrea we have ever meet, really nice ;-)
Fantastic place to stay. Everything is nicer than one could expect, new place with access to smart TV with streaming service. Possibility to store stuff in refrigerator. Privat parking under roof in gated area. In the center of the city of Tirano everything is just a Short walk away, including various restaurants, super market, train stations etc.
Terrific host who is helpfull and event put cold drinks in the refrigerator along with Apples from grandparents plantation without any extra cost. Definitely a place to be recommended. 👏👏
- Very good location in the centre of Tirano, less than 10 minute walk from the train station.
- We were upgraded for free on arrival from a room with a shared bathroom to one with a private one, free of charge, on arrival!
- Free small breakfast (croissant and coffee) included.
- The (upgraded) room had a very comfortable double bed, tv, two bedside tables, a wardrobe, safe, hairdryer, adjustable wall heater, bathroom with a shower and toilet.
- Nice staff.
- Even though the property is close to a busy road, it’s quiet in the room.
This Hotel was a very good surprise, 10min walk from the train station, and very near to the central plaza with the Cathedral, 2min walk.

This hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station. As you arrive on foot you walk through beautiful cobble old streets. The hotel is a renovated old building full of character. Rooms are big and comfortably styled with minimal style and smell like a wood cabin which is divine. There is a real focus on recycling and preserving, which we really thought was amazing. Breakfast was one of the best breakfasts. I wish we didn’t have to leave so early fii oh r the train!
Ultra modern hotel. About a 10 min walk from train station, in a great location. They give you these great aluminum water bottles as a gift…very nice! We were able to check in while there was someone at desk…apparent,y that’s only between 5-7pm. Otherwise, you’re given a code for outside door and they leave your room key sitting on the front desk with your name on it!! How can this be safe? If I was a female traveling alone, I’d be having a fit over this.
200m from train station. From the train station, just walk straight til the end of street (100m) & turn right (100m). Bernina Express train station is just next to the main train station. Room & beds at hotel are comfortable. Breakfast was excellent & had lots of varieties. Staff were very polite, friendly & helpful. Lots cafes & restaurants outside hotel. 15 minute walk to Sanctuary of Madonna church & Tirano town. Pretty little town.
It is a fantastic place. The location is close to the train station and some interesting places in Tirano. Jole, the host, goes above and beyond. She gave us suggestions for things to do in the surroundings and go for dinner. Also, Jole set up a generous breakfast. A Casa Di Nonna is one of our Top 5 places where the listing surpass expectations and the host truly cares about the guests.
Easy communication with the host. Comfortable and cozy apartment in the middle of Tirano with all the amenities one requires for a short stay. Groceries within walking distance and ice cream parlor just on front.Close to the train stations.

Location (15 mins walks from Tirano train station), flat is big and it has everything you need. Bed is very comfortable. Patrizia is very nice and she does everything to make you feel at home (she also helped us booking a table in a lovely bistrot, we had an amazing dinner!). Thank you so much, we will definitely come back next time we are in Tirano.
Walk 2 blocks west and you arrived to the train station. Walk 1 block east and you arrived to the "posh area" (stores and restaurants". Walk 1 block south, skip the river and you are at the old town. This is a great stay if you want to get to know Tirano (something you should). Both the room and the bathroom was very spacious.
Fantastic, comfortable place to spend a few nights. All rooms are very spacious and kitchen is well equipped. Warm in winter and house was very clean. Fantastic host was friendly, easy to contact and even gave recommendations for the things to do in Tirano. House is within walking distance of the train station (~10 minutes)
The hotel (and restaurant) is on the stations square, only steps from both stations. The rooms are clean, easily accessible and spartan. There is no air conditioning in the rooms; there is a desktop fan which kept the room very comfortable in the evening and night when it was 30 C during the day.
We were greeted at the train station and brought to the apartment with a full tour! They had juices in the fridge for our 3 kids and tea and coffee for the adults. All the beds were comfortable and the location was perfect after our long train ride through the Alps.
This place is so beautiful, convenient very close to the train station. We love how clean and the size of the place it's like a complete house. You will feel at home and the facilities in this place was above average. Highly recommended!

It is just in front of the Tirano train station and I followed the instruction from the host. Everything turn out easy. The room and its facilities are not fancy but function well. Wifi has good speed.
