personale accogliente, disponibile e molto gentile
Beautiful old hilltop town with so much to see. There is the Rocca Castle at the top of the town well worth the visit with spectacular views. The Duomo (Cathedral) in Piazza del Duomo, beautiful ceiling paintings. Lots of old narrow streets and lovely market squares, lots of places to stop for a coffee, glass of wine, lunch. Could spend alot longer here than we did. It's very hilly but there is an amazing underground moving escalator system that you can hop on to make it easier to get up those hills! On my previous visit to Spoleto, I stayed at Hotel Clitunno which I also highly recommend.

Spoleto is one of Italy's most pictures and peaceful towns. Very relaxed atmosphere with lots of beautiful restaurants and eateries.
The old Roman structures were not crowded and easy to access on foot. Walking around Spoleto was easy and very safe both by day and night.
Lots of old Roman ruins and artists works in galleries dotted around the town.
A perfect break from the congestion of the big cities. Spoleto will not disappoint. Hotel Duci was in a perfect location with good parking

The view at the top of the mountain using the tramway was exquisite and seeing the bridge and fort....Loved the Duomo beautiful beyond..the old streets...not many tourists...the streets so interesting. It was easy to get around..loved the piazza below our accommodation. Our accommodations were beyond my expectation. The wrap around terrazzo was such a bonus and a special way to end our trip. The old very old church just outside added to the beauty. and the tramway a walk away, The views from our terrazzo was spectacular!.

Spoleto is a city dating back thousands of years, where monuments, fortresses and wonderful awe inspiring churches exist. A modern underground walking/moving escalators and elevators assist young and old alike to move around this wonderful ancient city. There are numerous shops, boutiques, indoor/outdoor restaurants and bars to serve the public. Most important are the friendly people of Spoleto. A must see destination for all.

A really interesting town which is very easy to navigate with underground walkways and escalators. Easy access and easy parking, we wished we could have stayed for more than one night. A lovely Duomo overlooked by hilltop castle from which there is an excellent view.
It is a beautiful modern guest house in a medieval monastery looking out over the towers of Spoleto and an easy walk to the escalators that go to the upper city. I had the whole guest house largely to myself, and found it quiet and peaceful. Also an easy walk - 15-20 minutes - to the train station, and right on the St Francis Way. Very comfortable room and bathroom. I liked it so much I stayed an extra two nights. Staff speak some English, though be sure to let them know if your arrival time, because the front desk is not always open.
The most amazing hotel. Surrounded by an oak forest and olive trees, the most beautiful pool has lots of sun and shade. It is so peaceful with just the sounds of bird songs.
The wonderful staff were extremely friendly and very helpful, they did so much to make our stay so pleasant.
Our room was perfectly clean and very modern. Great shower, big comfortable bed. Everything immaculate.
We also had a fantastic dinner in the busy restaurant surrounded by locals all coming for the excellent food.
The room was fantastic - spacious room, comfortable superking bed, balcony, as well as a peaceful and totally stunning view.
Breakfast was a very pleasant surprise. All were catered for, from healthy fruit/yoghurt options to fresh pastries to cheeses and meats.
Staff were professional, friendly and helpful.
Staying in Spoleto was the highlight of my trip to Italy. Part of the reason for this was my stay at Hotel dei Duchi.
A wonderful stay at the Villa on my "Via di Francesco". The Villa is between Trevi and Spoleto in Poreta and is a great place to relax in rural italy after the busy Towns. Beautifull Villa with a very spacious room. The host is very helpfull and offered me the choice of either have a local make me a simple diner or bring me to a restaurant. I did chose the simple dinner (bread, tomato, egg, vegetable pie) which was a delight.
Comfortable bed, armchair in bedroom, good wifi reception in bedroom, small desk for laptop, wall-mounted tv in room (Italian channels only). Quiet, even though near a busy main road. 2 minutes' walk from two good supermarkets.
The centro storico of Spoleto is easily reachable on foot via the mechanised walkway from Posterna. The garden is very pleasant and would be a lovely place to relax in the warmer weather.
This was our favourite hotel on our trip around Umbria & Tuscany. We would definitely stay again. Booked last minute, not realising what a gem I had found. Recommended by Mr & Mrs Smith & The Telegraph. Beautifully and tastefully furnished. Owners and staff were absolutely delightful. Food in the restaurant, fantastic. All better quality and half the price of the properties we found in Tuscany.
We loved the garden, the private terrace with view on the fields, olive trees and mountains, the proximity to Spoleto, Trevi, Assisi, the very pleasant swimming pool, the efficient air conditioning, the lovely furniture in the apartment. Internet and wifi worked also perfectly. This place is a very lovely place for a vacation, with friendly guests, quiet surroundings in beautiful Umbria.
The property is a lovely Villa hotel with good sized rooms and bathrooms. The breakfast was nice and had good offerings.
The staff was very friendly and Sergio was an excellent attendant at the desk and oversaw the bar. In the afternoon he gave recommendations for Italian cocktails to try and made them for us. We appreciate the friendly atmosphere of the hotel.
The breakfast variety was very good, including yogurt and fruit. The baked items were delicious, as was the coffee! The location was up a hill and there were beautiful views from our room and the large patio. It is very near a special hike: the Spoleto - Norcia former railway line. We ate dinner here and it was very good!
Location is best in town, however absolutely no investment into any upgrades. Terrible furniture, bathroom drawer came apart when opening. No space to place anything in the bathroom. Rooms very small. Hallways from the middle ages...no water in the room upon arrival.
This place is the perfectly located. I really appreciate the location just near the town center, the services in particular the breakfast with many choices of the italian cornetto, the staff, the clean room with private toilette / Bath and the free parking.
Beautiful old villa. The best part is the owner Nazzaro. He treated me like family. Drove me to a fabulous restaurant, packed me snacks for the road. Perfect stop if you are walking the Via di Francesco.
The hosts were great and the place was clean, comfortable and nicely located near the city center. Very nice stay, and the hosts were so great! We even got home made pie for breakfast!
Very spacious place
Beautiful balcony with amazing view to the valley
Great shower downstairs
Clean, green and lively
Host was very welcoming and helpful
10 min from Spoleto
We had a nice time at Lizium Spoleto and find the apartment comfortable and cozy. The host is very friendly and communicates easily and promptly. We reccomend Lizium.
Beautiful hotel in old palazzo close to duomo in Spoleto. Quirky and unique. Very friendly owner and staff. Fantastic breakfasts. Gated parking 100m from hotel.
The staff were quite helpful. A couple of things were not working when we arrived, but were fixed right away! Very nice place to stay for exploring Spoleto!
