I haven't reached to the 10 km long Sottomarina beach though...
I haven't reached to the 10 km long Sottomarina beach though, as yet, as I came to see this year's Venice Art Biennale which shows were evenly spread all over Venice city, in particular at the Aresenale and the Giardini places where the concentration of artist participants is bigger. Through this past week, I had to hurry myself everyday to reach there and return back to my hotel on time. Sottomarina is a seaside resort and a locale developed as a beach resort attracting visitors from nearby cities like Venice and Padua. Its city, Chioggia was the biggest salt mine in Europe once and is older than Venice. The area of my hotel is quite remarkable as it fulfills itself with modernist residential architecture. Besides, it's environ has an interesting mix of vegetation; breathtaking trees and foliages that make the air pristine, enriching the Adriatic ecosystem.

Our stay in Sottomarina was great.
Our stay in Sottomarina was great. Easy walking distance to Chioggia town, but with a less touristy atmosphere that we enjoyed. During our stay in October, the beach was quiet and just a very short walk from the apartment. Breakfast was pastry and coffee at a local bakery about 2 blocks from the apartment. Our hostess provided lots of good local information whenever we inquired.

It's a nice seaside resort.
It's a nice seaside resort. Plenty of beach front, plenty of attractions, plenty of night life. Very close (walking distance) to Chioggia which is a charming medieval city with plenty of places to eat, romantic canals and a thriving nightlife.

The bungalow was clean and pretty. No pop up in the sink, bathroom window too high to be opened. Not one dishwasher tab , no salt, no soap, etc, you have tò buy everything for the kitchen and the bathroom

The city is close enough to Venice to get easily to the city and far away enough to avoid crowds.
There is a bus that goes to Venice - every 30 / 60 minutes (the last one leaves Venice at 1 AM)
There are some nice restaurants and walking areas. Beaches are long and wide. There are plenty of umbrellas available (I do not know the price per day).
A beautiful place. We have rested here with our family for 2 times already. Similar to a club hotel in Turkey, but you live in your own house with parking and all amenities (including kitchenware, dishwasher and coffee machine). There is a private beach (the price includes two sun beds and an umbrella). there is a swimming pool and a restaurant on site, a small shop. Children's animation in season. There are shops, cafes and restaurants 2 kilometers away. Also close to the historic fishing town of Chioggia.
Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. It is a family run hotel and every member of the family went out of their way to ensure we had a fabulous stay. It’s located on the beachfront with parking very close by. They supply bikes which you can use to explore Choggia and sottomarina. Definitly the best choice of hotel in this area. They have just done the hotel up and everything is brand new. They are putting in a spa aswell which will add to the hotel. Best choice for a break in Sottomarina
The location of the apartment was just perfect: even with two kids (both 2 years old) it was safe; reaching both the beach and the swimming pool was very easy, as well as for the market. It is a pity that the Wi-Fi is not really reliable, but I just used the connection with my cell phone when needed. I also quite enjoyed the restaurant, I would only suggest adding to the menu a dish of the day with fresh products varying each day.
I love the staff how friendly they were, and how they loved to help me. It was very easy to communicate with them and the breakfast rocked! I loved the area, a very lively neighborhood of Sottomarina. A very short walk to Chioggia where you can take a boat ride or just look at the beautiful buildings. We liked that the rooms were renovated (only doors and closet are older but that didn’t bother us at all), we had a nice balcony what was useful for beach stuff storage and late evening drinks. Beach was only a short walk from the hotel and we even had free bicycles at the property to drive around whenever we wanted. Staff was very nice and always helpful and we also enjoyed breakfast that had everything we wished for.

The view to the bay from our room was awesome! Every member of the stuff was really kind and helpful. The hotel and the room were nice, modern and clean. We liked the pool area and beach of the hotel. And we loved the free bikes to discover the beautiful Chioggia!
The staff was very helpful and friendly, the rooms were spacious enough and clean. Breakfast was great, a lot of variety. Parking was free and the staff helped us with the arrangements even after we left for dinner and returned to find our original spot taken.
The best were the salty breakfast, which are not common in Italy. The hotel is in good location, parking available. The room really nice with the fruits and coffe and tea...I would say the best hotel I have been during my travel around Italy.
